Again

Guilty, I wore this crop top twice in one week (see here). I can't help it! I love the look of it. It's just a fun top to wear. I couldn't be more happy with this purchase. Actually, I would have never bought this top if it wasn't for the help of Silver Jeans. I went to Silver Jean's Chicago store opening a couple weeks ago in Woodfield. It was awesome! They have convinced me that not only do they have great (and affordable) jeans, but they have some awesome summer tops. The moment they showed me this crop top, I was hooked. Have any of you been guilty of wearing something more than once in one week (don't lie, I knew we all do!)?

Mustard

Dress: H&M (old), similar herehere & here  // Shoes: Me Too (old), similar here // Necklace: H&M // Ring: Madewell (old), similar here // Bracelet: J. Crew (old), but love this & this

This H&M dress is one of my favorite dresses. Looking back, I was contemplating on purchasing it. I kept thinking to myself, would I ever wear this dress more than once? The answer is yes! Due to the chiffon fabric, this dress can easily be worn in the summer without overheating. It's perfect for those windy summer nights. If you're from Chicago, you know what I mean. Sometimes, there's a cold chill at night. The long sleeves protect me from those winds. For some reason, this mustard color goes with any occasion and any accessory. No matter what color I pair with this dress, it always seems to go.  Have you ever encountered a purchase you contemplated, and in the end it worked out?

Happy Easter!

Top: Silver Jeans  (not available online), similar here // Skirt: J. Crew (old), similar here // Shoes: Betsey Johnson (no longer available), similar here // Necklace: Jewelmint // Clutch: Old Navy (out of stock), similar here // Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs (old), similar here // Bracelet: Lily and Laura

Hope you all had a Happy Easter!! This weekend was great. Tre and I spent time with our families, which I always enjoy. We actually relaxed this weekend. These past couple of weeks have been crazy busy. Hence, the lack of posts (which I am very very very sorry!) I will definitely do better this week.

Anyways, this is what I wore for Easter. I am currently obsessing over the Silver Jeans crop top. I find it to be very versatile. I can dress it up or dress it down.  Also, I wanted to point out that you don't have to wear a crop top to show your midriff. I think they're paired perfectly with skirts because they don't bunch in the bottom where it meets the skirt, which avoids those awkward bulges!

Totes

I have been obsessing over totes. Totes are chic, classic, and spacious bags. They look good with almost every outfit. You can wear totes when you're dressed up, or you can wear totes when you're dressed down.  So I am on a hunt to find the perfect tote bag. Below are my top favorite totes. Do you guys have a favorite tote bag? Do you have any recommendation for the perfect totes?!

Fashion Meets Philanthropy

This post is long over due! Everyone needs to know about Angela Roi. Their handbags are made with the highest quality so that they are long-lasting. They are also fabulous and fashion forward. However, the appearance and material of Angela Roi handbags are not the only reason why they're great. I'm sure you're wondering what other factors can make handbags amazing?! Well, a portion of the cost of the handbags goes towards different medical issues research: Lung Cancer Awareness, Childhood Cancer Awareness, Alzheimer's Awareness, AIDS Awareness, Depression Awareness, Breast Cancer Awareness, Kidney Disease Awareness, Colon Cancer Awareness, Cancer Awareness, Melanoma Awareness, and Diabetes Awareness. Yes, yes it is possible for us fashionistas to look good and do good!

So I'm sure you're wondering how it works? How do you know which awareness you're supporting? Angela Roi based their campaign on their vibrant colors. Their handbags are composed of different styles and colors. Each color represents an awareness. For instance, the purple handbags go towards Alzheimer's Awareness and white handbags go towards Lung Cancer Awareness.  Therefore, you are donating by color. You can find out more about each Awareness' colors here. I currently have the Palette Cross body in red (photo below). The proceeds of my bag went towards AIDS awareness. This bag is now one of my favorite bags!! It looks amazing, and I supported a good cause!!

Something about embellished collar adds so much detail to a top. It can dress it up or give the whole outfit personality. If you want to make a statement, just add a simple piece of jewelry. I definitely want to add more embellished collar to my wardrobe. I can wear it work or wear it out. Versatility is a key to my wardrobe!

P.S. Is it the weekend yet?!?

Rainy Day Essentials

According to the weatherman, there's going to be lots of rain in April. I'll take rain on any day as long as the polar vortex goes away. Thank goodness the temperatures are tolerable (although I prefer it to be 20 degrees warmer). With the constant rain coming upon us, going outside and feeling wet all day is extremely uncomfortable. Therefore, it is essential you dress appropriately. My rainy day essentials are: rain boots, waterproof trench coat, high quality umbrella, and non-leather crossbody bag. What are your rainy day essentials?

Printed Crop Top

Top: Bongo, also love this and this // Pants: Lily White (no longer available), similar here // Shoes: Leuven Alexanderr via Hautelook, also love this  // Bracelets: Kate Spade, J. Crew Factory, Lily & Laura // Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs (old), similar here
Ever since I came across this Bongo crop top at Kmart, I have been dying to wear it! Unfortunately, I was not bold enough to brave the cold wearing this. Luckily, Mother Nature decided to cooperate this week. When I saw the temperature hit over 50 degrees, I saw this as an opportunity to wear a crop top! I love the tribal print. I also think this crop top has the perfect amount of cropness (I know it's not a word). It's not too cropped that it could be a sports bra, but it's cropped enough that the midriff peek-a-boos. I could not believe this top was sold at Kmart. Plus, it was only $10.99! I must say, Kmart impressed me.
