I can't believe today is the last day of 2014! I know I sound like a broken record, but this year flew by! As I get older, I feel like the years just go by faster & faster. Can someone please slow time down?

2014 was no doubt a great year! It was filled with tons of love, happiness, adventures, and stress. In the beginning of the year, I started RD's Obsessions and never thought I would make it this far. It's such an incredible venture. Big thank you to my heart & soul Tre for being RD's Obsessions #1 supporter. Actually, it would have never happened if it wasn't Tre who pushed me to start a blog (and become my photographer). Tre is no doubt a big part of my life that the best day of my life was when he went down on his knees this year and asked me to marry him.  Boy was I so happy that I was shocked and speechless haha. From then on, we spent the rest of the year planning our big day and making the condo become 'our home'. Aside from me getting engaged, my best friend and (future) sister-in law got engaged. I was just as giddy hearing about their engagements as I was about my own! Not only that, I was part of one of my really good friends' wedding over the summer. I could not be any more happy for them!

A lot has happened in between engagements & weddings, but I don't want to bore you all ;) Hope you all enjoy a round up of some of my favorite outfits. Looking forward to 2015 as I'm sure it will be filled with much more joy (OMG, I'm getting married in 6 months!!). Hope you all have a Happy New Year!!

Paris Inspired

Tuesday, December 30, 2014

Top: c/o Choies (part of a two-piece suit), also love this (less than $10)
Skirt: re:named c/o Shopbop
Earrings: Baublebar
Necklace: Jewelmint (old), similar here
Shoes: Asos (low in stock), similar here

I couldn't help but think of Paris when I was putting this outfit together. When I think of Parisian fashion, all black and black & white pieces come to mind. Something about how Parisians style classic & simple pieces together always looks so chic. I couldn't resist but pair this outfit with Dior-inspired earrings my cousin got me for Christmas to complete this Paris-inspired look. I'll admit it, when I think French designers, Christian Dior comes to mind. I definitely think this outfit will be perfect for a classy NYE soiree.

NYE

Monday, December 29, 2014

Top: Forever 21 (on sale now!)
Skirt: Forever 21
Earrings: Loft
Tights: Target
Shoes: Rebels (old), similar here
Bracelet: Saks 5th Avenue Outlet, similar here

With NYE just around the corner, I thought I'd share my outfit for that evening. Usually I go for dresses and I was instantly drawn to this Vince Camuto striped sequin dress, JOA fringe dress, or Leith multicolored sequin dress. However, this year I decided to be slightly different and create my own two piece look. Obviously, I can't deviate from anything sparkly. That's what makes dressing for NYE so much fun. I was a little nervous how much it would cost me with getting two items versus one item for my NYE outfit. With our wedding only 6 months away, I have to be more careful how I spend my money. Fortunately, it worked out better. Forever 21 has been killing it lately. This top and skirt totaled to be less than $35! That's way less than getting a dress (or some tops!). Best part is I can use the top and skirt separately to create a different outfit. Do you guys have your NYE outfit?

Casual NYE

Sunday, December 28, 2014

Top: H&M (old), similar here
Skirt: Forever 21
Necklace: Amazon
Shoes: Rebels (old), similar here
Tights: Target

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed spending time with family and loved ones. This year was the first year Tre and I spent Christmas together. It was so nice to relax and just hang out with our families. How did you guys spend your holiday?

I wore this outfit a couple weekends ago when Tre and I hosted our yearly holiday party with our friends. I wanted something casual but still dressy. So I went for a more basic look. This collar necklace added a little glam to the outfit and the faux leather gives the whole look some texture. I also think this look can be a casual NYE outfit.

Have you heard of UPS's most recent campaign called #WishesDelivered? This is one of my favorite campaigns during the holidays. Why? Well first of all, it can make a difference to someone's life and it's so easy to participate! #WishesDelivered will grant $1 to one of their charity partners (Salvation Army, Boys & Girls Club, or Toys for Tots) for every wish submitted on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #WishesDelivered (up to $100K total donation). You can also learn more about this campaign on #WishesDelivered site. This campaign started on November 10, 2014 and will end on December 31, 2014.

Your holiday wish will go a long way if we all join in. So join me and share your holiday wish for someone else. The more we share and wish, the better the place will be for everyone during the holidays. For me, I wish that no one will be hungry & homeless during the holidays. I am blessed to have a wonderful family and be able to spend it with them during the holidays. I always look forward to the great meals we get to enjoy. It's such a fantastic feeling to be spending the holidays this way that I think everyone should be able to celebrate it this way too. What will you wish?

How to Submit a Wish:
1. Post your wish via Twitter, Instagram, and/or submit directly to #WishesDelivered site with the hashtag #WishesDelivered.
2. Your wish(es) are to be for someone else. They should be selfless and meaningful and not superficial.
3. After you post your wish, share your wish! Remember, every wish will help raise money for charity.

Holiday Leopard

Monday, December 22, 2014

Dress: Loft (40% off - no code needed)
Shoes: Nine West
Necklace: Dress & Dwell
Clutch: c/o Oliveve
Bracelet: Saks 5th Avenue Outlet, similar here

Last weekend was my work's holiday party. I always look forward to the work holiday party for a couple reasons: 1) It's always a blast and I enjoy dressing up and hanging out with co-workers 2) I'm in the committee that plans the work holiday party. So it's always nice to see all my hard work put together.  Although, not going to lie, I was a little stressed. There were still some details up to the minute the event started that still needed to be put together. In the end, however, we were able to tie up the loose ends. Overall, the event was a success! Everyone had a great time and of course loved the venue. So if you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen how the event looked. If you haven't, check it out here. Did you have your work holiday party yet?
