Blue Print

Dress: c/o Oasap (less than $20!)
Shoes: Soludos
Bag: c/o Mellow World (sold out), similar here
Sunglasses: Le Specs

I wore this dress during Memorial Day. I always associate Memorial Day as the official start of the summer. Thank goodness the weather cooperated! When I came across this dress at Oasap, I fell in love with the floral blue prints and immediately thought of summer! I couldn't resist but wear it on Memorial Day. Although, I wore this dress super casual, I can actually see myself wearing it on several different occasions. For instance, it can be a perfect dress to wear at a wedding. Just add these heels and you're ready to go! Basically, it is a summer dress, cocktail dress, wedding guest dress, girls night out dress, and date night dress for less than $20. Yeah, the price is ridiculous!

Bachelorette Nighttime

Top: Sheinside (old), similar here (40% off at Nordstrom)
Skirt: J.O.A. (40% off at Nordstrom)
Shoes: T.J. Maxx, similar here
If you haven't seen yesterday's post, I mentioned that Saturday was my bachelorette. Yesterday's post was my daytime look. Today's post is what I wore for the evening. I definitely decided to dress up more. Of course, I couldn't resist wearing all white with a pop of pink from my shoes. I wanted something feminine and fun without looking wild. So when I came across this J.O.A  lace overlay pencil skirt, I knew it was perfect! The skirt sits on the waist so it was perfect to pair it with a crop top. Not too much exposed, just a sliver to keep it fun ;) Of course, I purchased it before the Nordstrom Yearly sale :( Now all you lucky gals can get it for a fraction of the cost! The evening activities were full of all things girly. I loved the decor! Take a peek at it here. Overall my sister did an amazing job hosting. Without a doubt it was one of the most fun nights (and days) I've had in awhile!

Bachelorette: Daytime

Bride shirt: J. Crew, also love this
Jeans: Velvet Heart (old), similar here
Shoes: Soludos (less than $40)
Sunnies: Le Specs
Photos taken by Gina Kirberg

Hope you all a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and had some great weather! Chicago got lucky and the weather couldn't be more perfect. Overall, I had a great weekend. I had my bachelorette on Saturday which no doubt was a night to remember ;). Unfortunately, I woke up with a really bad cold Saturday morning. My nose was runny, my eyes were watery, and I was coughing. However, I still managed to have a great time since I was surrounded by such great friends and family. I can't let a cold get in the way of my day (and night)!  My bachelorette was kept a mystery. I had no idea what we were doing until the day of.  So I decided to keep my look casual during the day. Plus, it was the perfect opportunity to wear my 'Bride' tee from J. Crew.  My outfit actually worked out because we went to the cutest store in Wicker Park called One Strange Bird. It is basically a mixture of those Paint & Wine spaces/venues meets Anthropologie. I posted a preview of the store on Instagram. Drinking wine and learning to paint was tons of fun. I was surprised that my painting looked somewhat decent (I think the wine helped haha!). More details on the nighttime festivities in the next post :)

P.S. I can't believe I'm getting married one month from day!!

Hot & Cold

Sweater: Loft (old), similar here (it is also 40% off!)
Jeans: Velvet Heart (old), similar here
Shoes: Steve Madden (extra 20% off at Amazon with code FUN20SUN)
Bag: BCBG (old), similar here
Ring: c/o Boohoo (only $4!)
Sunglasses: Peppers (20% off at Amazon with code FUN20SUN)

Chicago, can you please make up your mind?! One day it is in the 80's and sunny and the next day it drops to the 40's. I'm not joking at all. This has been Chicago's weather for the past couple of weeks. It gave me false hope that warm weather is here to stay. Seriously, I would be in shorts and tank tops one day and the next day I'm wearing an oversized scarf, boots, and wool coat. Going from hot to 40 & 50 degrees makes it feel like it is FREEZING. If you asked me about 40's and 50's a couple months ago, that would have been heavenly. Funny how having nice weather changes your perspective. It also plays with my emotions. I would be so happy and in the best mood ever when we have nice weather.  The following day when the temperature drops, I'm hating everything haha! So this look is when the temperatures drop. This is my go to commuting look - comfortable, casual, and classic. P.S. I bought this Loft two-in-one sweater a few months ago. You can also recreate this look by layering this Loft chambray shirt with this J. Crew Factory sweater. Not gonna lie, taking photos without my coat was brutal!! I hope you all are experiencing much better weather than we are.

Bridal Shower Part 2

Dress: T.J. Maxx, almost identical one here
Shoes: Halogen
Clutch: c/o Oliveve (sold out), similar here
Earrings: Bauble Bar
Bracelet:gift from Tre, similar here

This past weekend was so eventful! It started with our good friends from Louisville arriving Friday evening. It is always a treat when they come to visit. So of course there was a lot of catching up and laughter going on. The following day was my Bridal Shower for the DiMare side. It started off chaotic since there was a lot of coordination before heading to the shower. Then, the street where the bridal shower was held at happened to be closed due to the chocolate fest. Nevertheless, everything was sorted out. When I walked in the restaurant, I was in awe! Tre's family did an amazing job with the set up! I saw so many of my favorite things i.e. the color pink was prominent, florals, hearts, balloons, and favors from BHLDN. I was impressed with the attention to detail! Overall, I had a wonderful time! I think my favorite part was seeing both families interact and getting along so well!
