Dress: Anthropologie (under $60)
Shoes: Hautelook (old), similar here
Sunglasses: Loft (under $20)
Bag: c/o Essex LA, also love this and this

This summer was filled with weddings. In addition to my wedding, we attended several others as well. Over the weekend, Tre and I went to Milwaukee and ended wedding season with a bang... it was my best friend's wedding! I couldn't be more happy for them!

The night before their wedding was the rehearsal dinner. I was so nervous because I wanted to do a speech but I'm not good at them at all. I had a pretty good idea of what to say, I just wasn't sure how it would turn out since I was winging it. I'm one of those people that are not good with prepared speeches... Reading off a speech plus my nerves guarantees I would mess up aka miss where I was at and ending up making no sense at all because I'm jumping from line to line.

Anyways, my best friend and I are obsessed with Anthropologie... we even had Anthropologie as our wedding registry! So when I came across the Asbury Park dress, I couldn't resist! The fact that it was on sale was a sign that the dress and I were meant to be. I knew it would be perfect for the occasion! Plus, it has pockets! Yes, a dress with pockets! Dresses with pockets are pretty much the best thing ever. The funny thing is, my bridesmaid dress also had pockets too haha!

Slim City Pants

Monday, September 28, 2015

Pants: c/o Gap Factory (under $45)
Shirt: Forever 21 (under $11)
Shoes: J.Crew Factory (under $30)
Bag: Angela Roi
Coat: c/o Choies (under $30)

Lately, I've been loving (and obsessing) over Parisian street style. I love how the style is so effortless and chic, and the look can be worn day or night. One of my favorite Parisian styles is the slim pants. Something about slim pants makes the legs more flattering. So of course, I've been on a hunt for slim pants. Then I came across Gap Factory's Slim City Pants. I was a little bit nervous, I was unsure how they would fit. These pants surprised me! They fit like a glove, and they're super comfortable! I feel like I can do cartwheels with them! I also love how I can create an office look by pairing it with a button down shirt or weekend look by wearing a slub tee and ankle booties. How would you style your Slim City Pants?

Also, if you sign up for Gap Factory emails at www.gapfactory.com, you can get 15% off your purchase!

Groupon Coupon

Thursday, September 24, 2015

I love to shop. I love updating my wardrobe with seasonal trends, upgrading classic pieces, and evolving my style to fit my lifestyle. I'm sure you all are aware, that can easily eat up a budget. So when I shop, I am always looking for deals and ways to spend less on pieces I'm planning to purchase.

One of my sources of finding the best deals & coupons when shopping is going to the coupon section of Groupon's site. Groupon has expanded their ecommerce service and partnered with approximately 8,500 retailers to compile and collect a list of 55K coupons and promo codes. That's right ladies, you can pretty much find your favorite retailers and deparement stores (at least my favorites) and save some shopping money. NordstromTopshopAsos, J.Crew, etc, you name it, you will most likely find out if there are any current promotions going on.

Whenever Chicago hits that perfect weather, it is a must to be out and about. I somehow get a burst of energy when we actually get great weather. If I have no plans, I will make plans for myself. Chicago has many parks and one of the things I like to do is just grab a book and lay out on the grass. Unfortunately, whenever I'm out and about (actually pretty much any time), I get hungry throughout the day. When I'm hanging out in the park by myself, it is kind of a hassle to bring real meals with me. So one of my go-to's are Nakd Bars by Natural Balance Food.

Nakd Bars are so convenient to carry around. They're the size of a granola bar so they can easily fit in my purse. They're also packed with so much flavor! Every bar is made with 100% natural ingredients aka ingredients we can actually pronounce! These fruit and nuts bars are composed of raw fruits and nuts and no sugar or syrup is added. So they are definitely healthy, satisfyingly filling, and helps you refuel throughout the day. I love how they come in 10 different flavors such as Cocoa Mint, Pecan Pie, Berry Delight, etc. My favorite flavor is Rhubarb & Custard. Or do you prefer something crunchy? Nakd Bars also have Nakd Crunch Bars and they come in 4 different flavors.

Each flavor comes in a pack of 18 bars. If you can't decide on a flavor, they also have a mixed case that contains all 10 flavors. Have allergies? Well, these bars are wheat, dairy, and gluten free!
