RD at Home: Kilim Rugs

Wednesday, January 27, 2016

Recently, we have been doing a lot of re-decorating & upgrading some of our furniture. It's something we have been wanting to do for awhile but with our wedding last year, other weddings we were part of, and other unexpected events that we had to attend to, it put the house decorating aside. Plus, we had to make sure we had the funds to do this!

One of my main focuses I have right now is the area rug. Lately, I've been really into Kilim area rugs! They add a pop of color to a room but still have that classic look. Plus, I love how they're easy to maintain. We currently have a shaggy rug in our living room and trying to vacuum that rug is such a pain! And I really like how well they pair against an all white furniture. A lot of the furniture we bought is white, so I definitely think this rug will make the room & furniture look more lively.

These are my current top choices! The good thing about these rugs is that they are all relatively affordable. I just hope I can make a decision in time before the new furniture comes in! P.S. I also just purchased this rug from Urban Outfitters for our living room and I can't wait for it to arrive!

Do you guys have any suggestions or recommendations? Do you know where I can also find affordable Kilim rugs?

  10. I really don't have a ton of knowledge about interior design, but I love the first 4 that you've picked the best! The bold geometric patterns feel fun and modern (at least, to me)!
