A couple weeks ago, America’s Best Racing invited Tre and I for a ‘behind the scenes’ look at Arlington Park. Basically, we got an opportunity to play with cute horses! If you’re not familiar with America’s Best Racing, they’re the media for North America’s Thoroughbred (horse) racing events i.e. Kentucky Derby, Breeder’s Cup, and Belmont Stakes to name a few. Arlington Park is a horse race venue in the Chicagoland area and it is one of the most prestigious race tracks in America.
America’s Best Racing took us to Hill ‘N Dale Farm. Hill ‘N Dale Farm is a private farm owned by Arlington Park’s chairman, Mr. Dick Ducchoisois. Let me tell you, this farm is amazing! It’s surrounded by white picket fence (so cute!) and it is 600 acres large! The scenery was unbelievable! The photos I took do not do it justice! Tre and I learned so much about horse racing. For instance, we learned how they are bred and how well these horses are taken care of. Plus, we got a chance to meet some well known horses in the racing community. I now have a better appreciation of the sport and have so much respect for these horses.
Since I knew we were going to a horse farm, I definitely felt like I had to rock my equestrian boots. It’s the perfect excuse to wear them (Although, I’d wear them regardless if I’m going to a horse farm or not haha)! A comfy sweater was a must due to the low temps of the day, but I wanted to keep that classic, preppy look. I knew right away J. Crew was my go to. Plus, the bright red color compliments the scenery so well.
P.S. I had to take the outfit photos after the farm. We were so intrigued learning about the farm, horses, and races that we rarely took photos!
