Bainbridge Island

Our second day in Seattle we decided to take a day trip to Bainbridge Island. In case you missed it, I talked about our first day here. I was super excited because it meant we had to take the ferry to Bainbridge Island. Whenever I think of Seattle, I think of two things: coffee and ferries. The ferry ride itself was very enjoyable. The scenery was just breathtaking. 

I’m sure you probably noticed this, but for our entire time in Seattle I was dressed ready for Fall. The temperatures were mid 60’s with a cool breeze. It would rain sporadically and once in a while it would occasionally feel warmer, so I definitely layered.

When we arrived at Bainbridge Island, we were definitely hungry. We decided to have brunch at Cafe Nola. The food was delicious. We got lobster deviled egg for starters and oh my gosh it was phenomenally delicious. For my main dish, I ordered the fish & chips. Wow, I love the breading. It had a little spice to it!

After brunch, we decided to explore all the cute little shops, and I couldn’t resist stopping at Pegasus Coffee House. Not only was the coffee delicious, but the cafe was adorable. Of course, I posted a picture of it 🙂 One of my favorite stores at the island was Churchmouse Yarns & Tea. That store was adorable!! So many colorful yarns with several different textures and they have an awesome selection of teas & tea sets. After all that walking around, we stopped at Mora Iced Creamery. Their ice cream is totally worth the hype. It was creamy, smooth, and full of flavor! By then we realized we were on Bainbridge Island for a full day.

We headed back to the ferry so we could freshen up real quick before heading to the Space Needle. Before checking out the needle, we had dinner at Tilikum Place Cafe. I love their take on food. They take American and European cuisine to the next level by playing with bold flavors and creating new combinations. I highly recommend checking them out! The Space Needle was beautiful at night. All the lights illuminate the city. After the needle, we decided to call it a night.
