Didn’t Fit

Sweater: Sheinside
Turtleneck: Forever 21
Jeans: c/o Joe’s Jeans (on sale now!)
Shoes: JustFab, also love this
Rings: H&M, also love this

Photography by Heidi Daoud

So not going to lie, I was having a little bit of outfit drama. First of all, when I ordered this sweater from Sheinside, I thought it was an oversized sweater. I wanted to own a windowpane patterned top and thought this was the perfect purchase. Unfortunately, it fit more like a crop top (only offered one size). Don’t get me wrong, I love crop tops. I actually have worn them several times here. So to fix this ‘issue’ I layered it with a basic turtleneck. I thought the wash of these Joe’s jeans paired well with the top. However, it’s a tad bit long. Of course, I didn’t like how my other pairs of jeans looked with it. So I decided to fold it and hoped it looks good.

    I love how the look turned out! I do hate it when you order things and they don't turn out like you imagined. The heels on your booties are too cool!

    Well, you certainly made the best of an "ooops" moment! The jeans make your legs look miles long and I think the cuffed bottom looks very cool. And the sweater is perfect worn like that. Love it!

    I really like the final look! I hate it when things you order don't work out (especially when you have to wait a little while to receive the item….). The sweater is really cute and looks great layered over this turtleneck!

    You cannot tell there are two tops going on here. It looks like it's one and actually has such a flattering fit on you. Not to mention yay for added warmth. (;

    Omg, I so feel for you. That top is short on you and you're not tall. I can only imagine what it would look like on my 5'11 frame. On the other had, you didn't let this little set-back stop you. You worked with what you had and it turned out cute. The black turtleneck was a great move. I suppose, I tailored button down shirt would have been nice and then pair it all with a dark rinse skinny jean to have a nice balance out the boxy shape. Or maybe if you wear the top again, pair with a boyfriend distressed jean and then pair with a lean, skinny heel bootie, allowing the bootie to be that sleek feminine piece. Regardless, you look adorable. (just one girls opinion)

    Well, you made the sweater work, even if it wasn't what you had hoped! It still really sucks when you have an idea of what something with be and then it doesn't fit with what you had in mind.
