I hope the new year has been treating you all well so far! I am so ready to tackle 2016!
The first few days of 2016 snowed and it looked like a winter wonderland. Where was it during Christmas?! I’m one of those that only enjoys snow around the holidays. I decided to test out my grey lapel coat. I love its classic look but the length is my favorite part. It creates a subtle edginess to it. As much as I love this coat, I don’t highly recommend wearing it during extremely cold temperatures. It’s not thick enough to handle harsh weather. However, one good thing about snow during winter is that while the temperature is below freezing, it is usually not frigid. So I was actually comfortable wearing this coat outside. Because of its length, I can’t wait to style it several different ways! This coat makes creating new outfits fun! This is my take on a winter look but stay tuned to see more styles 🙂

Great coat. The color is nice and soft, not the typical dark wintry grey. I like that it's light in weight but seems to have enough room for you to layer for warmth. Smart purchase.

That coat is gorgeous! I like coats that aren't super heavy because we don't have super cold winters where I live. Too bad it didn't snow at Christmas for you, but snow is a fun way to ring in the new year! 🙂

I got a lapel coat for this winter and I agree, it's definitely not for frigid windy winter days. I like to pull it out when the temperature isn't so low and the sun is shining though 😉
