So sorry for being MIA! As most of you know, I was on medical leave and had specific instructions regarding my recovery (if you’re new here, my medical journey is on this and this post). So that’s what I’ve been doing, focusing on my recovery. I’m glad I did because I feel much stronger than I was right after my surgery and I’m starting to gain back the energy I lost from chemo. I was even able to go back to work earlier than expected! I do miss blogging and creating outfits and can’t wait to get back to it! I should find out next week or so if I can get back to doing outfit shoots!
One thing I am very excited about is that my hair is really growing back! Each time a family member or friend sees me, they tell me that my hair is longer and/or thicker, and that makes me happy. I just wish my hair was longer than my husband’s. I know I will get there, but I am such an impatient person haha! Every time I see a mirror, I can’t help but stare at myself. I love looking at how much hair has grown. I swear, one day someone at work will catch me and will probably think I’m a vain person. It is just so interesting seeing hair grow since I have never seen it grow from scratch! My eyebrows are pretty much back. They’re not as dark as they used to be, but hey, as long as I have them, I am happy. My eyelashes are getting there. I am starting to see short lashes and stubbles.

Lately, I’ve been rocking the short hair out in public. I don’t mind that people are seeing my hair growth even if it is not the ideal length. Occasionally, I post some selfies on Snapchat (username: rdsobsessions) and I think I will start posting some on Instagram. So what does this mean for my wig? Well, I love my wig but I really don’t see the point of wearing it in public. However, I love the idea of wearing my wig in blog posts. It’s like playing dress up and it helps give me more confidence with the blog.  Therefore, you will still see me wear my wig on the blog. For the most part, my real hair (and stuff currently happening) will be on Snapchat; however, depending on the content of the post, you may see it here from time to time :). In the meantime though. check it out on Snapchat.

Speaking of Snapchat, I think I will utilize it more. I realized that I will not have many opportunities to go out and do an outfit shoot. Tre has been making up work he’s missed when we have to go the hospital or when I’m sick, which leads to him working extra hours when he is in the office and me without a photographer.  So I think it would be fun to share my OOTD whenever I go to the office. I only go in twice a week so going to the office is my opportunity to get all dressed up :). Not sure when I will start it, so stay tuned or follow me and you will see my ‘real life’ outfits. I will most likely create a round-up blog post of my Snapchat OOTD when I have enough outfits to share in case you missed them.

Sorry for the rant, but thank you guys for following along this journey of mine. There’s so much to share/talk about in this new world of mine and you all have been awesome listening and supporting!

    I am SO happy to hear that you're bouncing back! And that your hair is growing — my aunt's hair grew back thicker than before, which she was thrilled about. I can't wait to see your hair in a cute pixie! And then when you get to a chic bob — the grow out stage it tricky but you get to try different styles! Have a great week, babe!

    Glad to have an update! So glad you are recovering well and were even able to go back to work sooner than expected. Keep taking care of yourself! That's awesome that your hair is growing back and you are rocking it in public. I bet it is interesting watching it grow. You look beautiful!!

    I totally feel you on the frustration with not having the blog photographer around. That's one my my biggest struggles with blogging, too.

    Girl, I am so happy for you. I can totally see how seeing your hair grow from scratch can be so weird but yet really cool. It is such an eye opening experience. Just think you went from fragile to so strong in a mater of months which is amazing and I am so proud of the strength you have and continue to have.

    I think it's great to go out in public without the security of the wig! You never know how you may be impacting someone's life by doing so. As a little girl, I saw a lady at the mall who had no hair. My mom leaned down after noticing me staring and told me she most likely had alopecia, but she was beautiful. Moments like that really shaped who I am today. We do not need hair to define us, and you are most likely someone's hero from your bravery! <3

    PS. I can relate 100% to the struggle of not having a photographer for the blog. Mine just moved away and it's been a little hard to keep up with getting content out. As a result I haven't been super consistent, but hopefully that'll get better soon!
