I always enjoy dressing up for the holidays. Something about getting together with your closest friends & family makes the cold, dreary weather so cheery and festive. When I’m in a cheery mood, I love to get dolled up! However, dressing for the holidays can be tricky. Why you ask? Well, first of all you have to consider the weather. For me, it’s always unbearably cold (with a side of snow storm). Also, I tend to stay up a lot later during holiday gatherings than usual so not wanting/wishing I wore my pjs by the end of the night is a must. So I sometimes just put together an outfit from what’s already in my closet. 9 out of 10 times I pick the most basic pieces to put together and accessorize. For this outfit, I decided to go with a solid knit, crew neck sweater and to dress it up I paired it with a faux leather skirt. Although plaid is trending right now, plaid is a classic print so obviously I HAD to accessorize with a plaid, blanket scarf. This one from Dynamite is my favorite. I love the double-sided print, and it is well-priced. However, I would totally pair this entire look with this Asos scarf as well.
