Wearing anything lace-ups is all the rage lately, and I’m so loving it! My first love affair with lace-ups was when I came across Halogen’s Owen Pointy Toe Flat in Nordstrom. When I slipped my size 7.5 feet into those shoes, it was as if I heard the angels sing and a glow of gold light came through. It sounds dramatic, but I was obsessed. The lace-ups add so much flavor to a classic pointed-toe flats. So fashion forward. The best part is that they’re comfortable. Wearing pointed-toe shoes can be a hit or miss with comfort, but let me tell you this one was comfortable. I can commute wearing this pair of flats to work and that says a lot! I loved it so much that I bought it in several colors. Remember this Instagram photo? Yup, and I want more pairs haha.
Then I started to see shirts with lace ups. I couldn’t resist! So when I came across this lace up shirt from Anthropologie, I knew it had to be mine. The fact that the shirt was chambray made it even better. Who doesn’t love chambray! Unfortunately, this shirt is no longer available but there is an identical lace-up chambray at Saks 5th Avenue and it is under $30!
So naturally when I was putting this outfit together, I had to pair the lace-up flats and lace-up shirt together. Lace-ups on lace-ups! You bet my obsession doesn’t stop. I just got this lace-up sweater and I can’t wait to wear it and share it with you all! Do you guys love the lace-up trend? Do you have a favorite lace-up piece?
