I meant to have this post up right before Christmas but then life happened. I wanted to send a message right before the holidays but you know what, you don’t need the holidays to remind you that life really is wonderful.

Less is More
When I was younger I thought having more meant more. I wanted more toys, candies, food, clothes, shoes, and friends. As I get older, I realized the importance of quality over quantity. The more I value quality, the better relationships I gained especially in friendship.
I can’t help but think about middle school and high school and how much I wanted more friends. I always felt like I had to ‘keep up’ to maintain my friendships. It was exhausting. Nowadays I keep my inner circle small, as long as I have a few good (real) friends, I am the happiest girl.  I truly value the relationship I have with my best friend. I like to think we are each other’s inner thought’s voice. Plus, I love borrowing her clothes haha!

True Friendship
We can probably talk on about everything from boys, clothes, celebrities, and our latest obsession, Korean skincare. What I love about our relationship is that even though we are busy doing our own thing, I know she will always be there for me. Whenever we can catch up, we pick back up right where we left off. What’s great is that we don’t always have to agree. We have our differences in opinion. However, we respect each other. There’s no judgement. If anything, I learned to be more open minded. That to me is the definition of a true friendship. A friendship that is basically the definition of a family. Not only will I always be there for her,  I definitely will be there for her family. My family thinks the same way of Steph. No matter what happens, we are always there for each other.
The reason why I brought this topic up is sometimes we can get caught up with the ‘stresses’ in life. We forget to say thank you to the people who try to make your life easier and have your back without hesitation. As we embark into the new year, I hope you all take the time to appreciate and be grateful for who is in your life. Each day is a blessing and a lot of that has to do with the good people in your life.
Hope you all have a happy Monday!

You read my mind Jessica!
this is so true. Most of the time if you have less then you appreciate more. I have been on the lowest point in life so I am really grateful.

I totally know what you mean about having a close inner circle of friends. That makes all the difference. Good girl friends are so important. I know I'd be lost without mine. These photos are so great!

Thanks Amy Ann! True friendship is like having family!
Thanks for writing this. I'm trying to de-clutter my life and let go of things that don't bring me happiness anymore. While this definitely includes material things like clothes and such, I also realized this extends to my persona life and perhaps I should let go of relationships that have either turned toxic or stale. I have a small group of very good friends that I know I can count on for anything and an amazing boyfriend who is there for me. What more could a person need?
Great post, as usual. Also, love both of your outfits! The matching Hunter-boots-and-sweater is so cute!

Exactly! You don't need more, if you already have the best! Thanks so much Deborah!
Your beanies are so fabulous! I'm glad I got the pom pom beanie memo, lol. And I feel that as we get older, we tend to adhere to the "less is more" mantra every day. If only we felt that way as children, too.
Haha your beanie is super cute too!
What a sweet post and tribute to your friendship Rach! It's so true that as we grow older and go through life's trials we start to realize what's really important.
