Moments of Chic

Sweater: c/o Piperlime (30% off with code ‘WINTERCHIC’)
Vest: Zara, also love this
Boots: c/o Piperlime (on sale now! – 30% off with code ‘WINTERCHIC’)
Pants: Stylemint (old), similar here
Clutch: c/o Oliveve, also love this
Necklace: Dress & Dwell (old), similar here
Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs (old), similar here
Ring: Madewell (old), similar here
Hat: Old Navy (sold out), similar here

When Piperlime asked if I would team up with them again to showcase my winter fashion for their Moments of Chic campaign, I immediately jumped on it.  When I got this sweater & over the knee boots, I was ecstatic! The best part is that these items are basics and can pretty much go with everything. My initial reaction was to pair it with this felt hat, distressed jeans, and possibly a statement necklace. Unfortunately, my bank account did not agree with the cost of the jeans. I decided not to look for any other type of bottom hoping that more money would miraculously appear in my account (ugh, never happened).

Eventually I had to take outfit photos and of course the felt hat did not come in the mail in time, didn’t like any of my necklaces that day, and no jeans. I panicked. I had nothing to wear! I had to improvise. I grabbed my wool hat and the first pants I spotted. I put it on, and okay not bad, but it was missing something. I spotted the blazer vest I borrowed from my sister. I initially borrowed it so I can just wear it when I go out, but I was in panic mode and put it on. Now I just need some bling. Again, didn’t like my necklace. Then I saw this one Dress & Dwell necklace I bought a while back. I loved it until the pendant broke off. I never had the heart to throw it away. But I said whatever and put it on. I was actually impressed that the broken necklace turned out to be a really good ‘new’ necklace. Then voila, I came up with this outfit and I was surprised that I liked it. So there ya go, that is my moment of chic.  I used what I had to make something out of it. Isn’t that what style is all about anyways?

I think this outfit is spectacular. Definitely doesn't look like you just threw it together. Good call on adding the blazer vest. Everything from head to toe is fantastic, Rach!
