How To Wear Sequins & Wide-Leg For The Holidays

I realized that I have been sharing a lot of Christmasy outfits, but the holidays also include New Year’s Eve! And I figured I would switch it up and share other holiday outfits that could potentially be worn during New Year’s Eve like sequins & wide-leg!

Sequins & Wide-Leg

In the past, I used to go out for NYE. Now, I like a low key New Year’s Eve. But it doesn’t mean I don’t dress up. It’s still fun because it is the only time in the year when wearing sparkles and being a little extra is acceptable. I usually like to be dressed up for most of the night, and then switch out to comfy pajamas or loungewear. Side note: I can only do this if 1) it’s in our own home or 2) at a family member’s home or really close friend’s house.

All About the Sparkles

Sparkles are a must during the holidays and especially on New Year’s Eve. Naturally, I went for this sequined top. This sequined top is perfect for anyone that doesn’t want too much of a statement. The black color tones it down. I really like this top because it’s not scratchy. Have you ever put on a sequined top? Ugh, I hate how the interior scratches me, and I’m so scared of them rubbing on me. This one does not. I’d say this top fits true to size.

About the Wide-Leg Pants

Now it wouldn’t be me if I did not include a holiday outfit with wide-leg pants. OO yes, love me some wide-legs! I knew right away I wanted to pair my sequined top with these pants. I love the deep purple color!

One thing that is different about these pants is the length. They’re not as long as I thought they would be. I didn’t have to hem them, and I actually prefer them to be an inch longer. I like my wide-leg pants to touch the floor (without dragging, of course) and my shoes to not be as visible. It’s also a mid-rise fit. Which is fine, I just always prefer a high-waisted fit. Which means, for all my petite girls, you can probably wear these pants without much tailoring. I’m 5’4″ for reference.

I also want to add in that these pants are made with lightweight fabric. So I had to wear black tights underneath to keep me warm.
