How was everyone’s weekend? Lately, we have not been creating plans for the weekend. With me trying to navigate through my fatigue, it doesn’t make sense for us to commit to anything. However, I did make plans to see Beauty and the Beast. It’s one of my favorite Disney movies and I love Emma Watson and Dan Stevens (I was devastated when Matthew Crawley died in Downton Abbey!). This movie did not disappoint. I loved it! I think it portrayed the original movie very well! Have you guys seen it? What did you think of it?

Suede Midi Skirt

Suede is one of those fabrics that slowly started trending. And before I knew it, suede was everywhere. Suede is it guys and I love it!  I love how suede pieces are simple and basic but the suede fabric just elevates and adds elegance to the outfit. However, it took me a while to find and figure out which piece of suede I wanted. Should I get a suede jacket, suede dress, or suede mules? I didn’t know until I saw this suede midi skirt.

It was so perfect that I almost doubted that it was the one. I fell in love with its camel color and front slit. The style and color makes it so easy to pair it with almost anything! I kept it classic and paired it with black.  I bought my skirt at a local Chicago boutique, however,  I linked above similar skirts especially this one. This is a faux suede skirt but it looks almost identical to mine (only $23)!

I didn’t want to pair it with just any black top, I wanted something classic with a twist and that’s when I decided to pair it with my cold shoulder sweater. I love how the ruffles give the outfit an extra edge. I’ve actually been wanting this top for a while. However, each time I spotted it on Asos, my size was out of stock. I stalked it until I finally saw my size (wearing a S/M). Definitely will be wearing this sweater multiple times!

    Rachel – the skirt, top and heels. You seriously can't do wrong with this outfit. Every piece is stunning and black+tan are always so chic together. I have a similar midi wrap faux suede camel skirt like yours that I have only worn once but you reminded to wear it again.
