Happy Hump Day everyone! I hope your week is going well so far. For me, today is my Friday. I took Thursday and Friday off because on Thursday, I have to go in for treatment and my quarterly shots. This is the first time I will be going in for treatment without my port and that makes me nervous. My port made it so easy for the ‘cancer cocktails’ to be administered intravenously. Plus, the use of the EMLA cream helped numb the feeling of the needle. Ugh now they have to use my arm and my arms bruise easily. Womp womp. I took Friday off so I can take it easy from treatment. I’m hoping I’ll bounce back quicker, but to be safe I think it is best to rest on Friday.
Have you guys heard of Velvet Heart? I had heard of this brand years ago in freshmen year of college. So that is a long time ago haha. But I loved it because they carry trendy, classic, and affordable pieces that keep for a long time. I had a pair of jeans from them and it wasn’t until recently that it deteriorated. You can basically find Velvet Heart in any major department stores such as Macy’s and Last Call for Neiman Marcus or shop it at their online site.
The Gingham Trend
I’m a sucker for the gingham trend. So when I had the opportunity to get a gingham top, you bet I jumped on it. I am so loving it in the off the shoulder style. I think it is obvious I have an obsession with off the shoulders. I’ve worn a floral one, another gingham one, embroidered one, and striped one to name a few. What I love about this gingham off the shoulder top is its laid-back style. The elastic hem makes it so comfortable to wear. I decided to play up on the casual style and pair it with a wide-leg cropped jeans, which I was fortunate to find for only $10. It’s such a fun outfit to put together! Have you guys taken advantage of the gingham trend?
