I remember as a little girl loving tie-knot shirts. Whenever my mom and I would go to Children’s Place or Limited Too (do you guys remember those stores?), I would always ask her to buy me one. I had one in every color, pink, yellow, purple, blue, green, etc. I just loved them and I thought I was really cool and fashionable haha. Eventually, I grew out of that phase and was never interested in them. If I came across someone wearing it, I would think ‘how retro’.
Fast forward to now, I am just like my little girl self wanting a tie-knot shirt. If you remember this summer post, I turned a button down into a tie-knot shirt. It just makes your classic button down shirt more feminine. So when I was going through ThredUp, I was immediately drawn to this Banana Republic Shirt. If you are not familiar with ThredUp, it is an online consignment & thrift store. This store makes going/shopping at a consignment store so convenient. I love to shop at consignments and thrift stores. You can find so many amazing and unique pieces. Unfortunately, all my favorite ones are not that close to me. So I rarely go. When I heard about ThredUp, you bet I was all for it!
ThredUp has items from well known brands such as Banana Republic, DVF, Vince, Cole Haan, etc. Think of a place store you like to shop at and you bet ThredUp as some of their stuff. They have transformed the way people think about secondhand store. I knew going through ThredUp, I would find the perfect tie-knot blouse and voila I did! I love its silky long sleeves. I can easily create a romantic look or like what I did here, I created a fall-ready outfit. All I had to is accessorize it with a navy blue wool hat and burgundy crossbody bag. The weather was not cold enough for boots yet, so paring it with loafers was perfect.
I highly suggest looking into ThredUp. If you do decide to make a purchase in the Banana Republic line, use the code ‘BR50’ and get 50% (for first time users only). Let me know what you guys end up buying!

Right?! haha! Thanks Jackie!
I'm pretty sure all of my Limited Too tops had ties on them. lol Heck, I remember my sister and I "making" ties into our tees. Oh the 90's…. You've gotta love an old trend dabbling in modern times. This totally works, while bringing back my childhood nostalgia. (;
Haha I think we all were obsessed with them!Thanks so much Kiki!
OMG, I totally remember those stores growing up and yes, I wanted to tie my tops too. And the funny thing is that my little girls like to do that now. I haven't heard of Thred Up so thanks for letting me know about the site. I definitely want to go check it out especially with a 50% off deal! xoxo, Christine
