I’ve been on a hunt for white wide-leg pants for a while now – aka for almost two years. I know, you are probably wondering ‘uhh Rach why didn’t you guy buy one the last two years?’ Well, you know that shopping experience when you want something but you can’t find it and when you don’t want it, it is everywhere? Well that was my case. When I first started seeing white wide-leg pants, I loved it but I was unsure if I should buy it (like if it is versatile enough to justify buying it). Of course, at that time, I saw them everywhere and they were all relatively affordable. So I thought, whenever I decide to buy it, I’m sure I can find them anywhere.
Well, shortly after I couldn’t stop thinking about creating outfits with white wide-leg pants. I easily thought of multiple outfits, most of which were in my closet. So I knew that purchasing the pants would be worth it. My rule of thumb when it comes to shopping and justifying if it is a good purchase is if I can create at least 3 different outfits with that piece of clothing then I know I can make good use of it. My assumption is that if I can make at least 3, I can probably come up with more. Without a doubt, that rule really works! I was able to come up with outfits for all four seasons.
For instance, in the Winter I saw myself pairing it with a slouchy sweater, in the Fall I saw myself wearing it with a long vest and classic long sleeves, in the Spring I saw myself wearing it with a ruffled one-shoulder top, and in the Summer I saw myself wearing it with an off shoulder top (like the one I am wearing in this photo).
Like clockwork, when I was ready to make the purchase, I rarely could find affordable, white wide-leg pants! The only ones I saw were the Milly pants. I loved them but definitely not in my budget. I eventually gave up until one day I saw a pair at J.Crew on sale for an extra 40% off. I quickly looked for my size and tried them on in the fitting room. First size was no luck, and I knew it was too good to be true. My husband urged me to try another size since he saw my disappointment. Tried on the next size and BAM they were perfect! I was jumping for joy and they were on sale!
Fortunately, these pants are still available and on sale! Unfortunately, they may be low in sizes. Now that I am no longer on the hunt for them, I am able to find affordable, white wide-leg pants everywhere! I am highly considering these super wide-leg ones. It looks like a skirt. And you know me, I love it when pants are super wide-leg.
If you are into white, wide-legged pants below are some affordable options!
