I know, it is officially Fall and here I am sharing another Summer dress. But I just had to share this one. I’ve been wearing it all summer and it is the cutest $18 blue and white dress. I’ve shared it multiple times on Instagram. However, I never did a blog post on this dress and it deserves a post. This just goes to show how quickly Summer flew by!
I know I haven’t done a great job this Summer creating new blog posts. My intentions were to keep up with my usual schedule, which is posting 3 and sometimes 4 times a week. Well, life had its own plans. I’ve been going through something personally, and it made it difficult to write blog posts. Things seem to be getting better, hence, why I’m sharing more. So I’m now trying to share as much Summer content as I would have loved to share before it is no longer relevant. Let’s be real, we still have some warm days left. Plus, this blue and white dress is only $18. So it is almost a no brainer to buy it anyway ;). I promise you all I’ll share in the near future what has been going on.
The $18 Blue and White Dress
Ok, let’s get back to this dress. Nothing more summery than a good blue and white dress. When I came across this dress on Amazon, I knew I just had to have it. It’s perfect for any occasion. You can wear this dress for a date night, girls night, family gathering, bridal shower, baby shower, or as an everyday dress (which I definitely did).
It’s such an effortless dress. The print is gorgeous, and I really like how it is flattering. I’ll give the full scoop below.
Sizing & Fit
Let’s start with sizing. Since this is not an Amazon private label dress, sizing can be tricky. Before we begin, I’ll share my size. That way you can use it as a point of reference when I talk about fit.
I am 5’4″, weigh 140 lbs, and chest is 32C. I have a straight body type, however, I have a bubble butt. Hence, why the back of any dress or skirt I’ve worn is always shorter haha. For tops and dresses, I usually wear a size small or size 4. For bottoms (such as jeans, skirts, pants, etc), I usually wear a size 27, size 4, or size small.
And for this dress, I purchased a size small. Ultimately, you can say it fits true to size. But keep in mind that this is a true wrap dress. We all know how tricky a wrap dress is. In my opinion, it is always best to have more fabric to wrap than less. That’s because you don’t want to run into the issue of your whoha being exposed haha. Therefore, if you are in-between sizes, I recommend sizing up. You can always and easily tighten up the dress. Also, if you are bustier up top, then I also recommend sizing up as well.
One thing to keep in mind is that this dress is a true Summer dress. Therefore, the fabric is on the thinner side. But trust me, on those really hot days, the dress is a savior. It’s very cooling!
Even though the dress is thin, I did not have an issue it with it being see-through. Which is really good and rare for a thin fabric dress. The material feels satin-like. Which is probably why it feels so cooling.
Other Prints & Styles
The dress also comes in different colors and slightly different prints. There’s about 37 different options to choose from. So if you’re not into blue and white dresses but like the style, you’re in luck! If you like the style but are not into the wrap dress, they also have some dresses that are not wrap style dresses. Instead the dress has an elastic waist band. They also have a mini dress version if you don’t like maxi dresses.
Overall, I think this blue and white dress is worth it. Especially since it is so budget-friendly. It’s only $18! I believe I’m near the end of sharing my Summer outfits. I’ll have to check in my archives to be sure. So pretty soon, I’ll start sharing more Fall outfits.
