Weekend Recap – Started Swimming
I started swimming this weekend. I’m a terrible swimmer so I never had the urge to want to swim. All of my doctors encouraged me to continue exercising so that long term, I will benefit from it. But of course, I just had to get a stress fracture in my foot. Sounds like I am more prone to stress fractures because in the past I had them and because as part of my daily medications, I take Aromatase Inhibitor. Therefore, one of my doctors encouraged me to take on swimming to continue working on my bone health and the post-chemo side effects. So if any of you guys have suggestions on swimming and pool exercises, please send them my way!
About This Outfit
I wore this outfit almost a month ago on the first day of The Blog Societies Conference. Since I will be doing a recap of the conference on Friday, I thought I’d share what I wore those days. Wednesday’s post will be day two’s outfit.
You may have recognized this top and that is because I recently featured it a couple weeks ago. This time around I wore it with a pleated skirt. Not a big difference from the last post, but I think that’s because I really enjoyed wearing this top with a skirt! However, this lace crop top can be paired with several different types of pieces. Below are my 3 ways to wear this lace crop top with favorite Fall pieces.
3 Different Ways to Style a Lace Crop Top
1. Wear It With A Skirt
This one is obvious since I’ve worn this top with a ruffled skirt and a pleated skirt. However, this crop top looks incredible with a midi suede skirt, gold-button skirt, wrap style skirt, and even a lace skirt.
2. Wear It With Wide-Leg Pants
This also includes wide-leg cropped pants or culottes. The wide-leg bottoms and fitted crop top complement each other so well. It creates a balance from head to toe and in the end makes it a flattering look. I love it with polka dotted pants, high waisted wide-leg jeans, striped cropped pants, and chino cropped pants.
3. Wear It As A Layering Piece
You’re probably thinking, how can you layer with a lace crop top? Well, I was thinking along the lines of a dress and a jumpsuit. Since a dress and a jumpsuit are usually known to be worn one way, layering them with this lace crop top is a great way to switch it up to make your dresses and jumpsuits more versatile. I love it with this polyester jumpsuit, overalls, printed midi dress, bodycon dress, mock neck midi dress, and strapless silky jumpsuit.
