My Favorite & Top 5 Best Halloween Movies That are Kid-friendly too!

Happy Halloween!

I will admit that Halloween is not my favorite holiday but I still love to celebrate it! Did or will you be dressing up for Halloween? If so, definitely share your Halloween costume in the comments below!

My Halloween evening will consist of wine and watching what I think are the best Halloween movies ever! Really because they are my favorite Halloween movies. I’m not into scary movies at all. I get scared very easily. I’m a wuss when it comes to scary movies haha. I love the family-friendly and wholesome Halloween movies. So if you got kids, these are definitely kid-friendly! Some of these you probably already heard of or bring that nostalgia.

Top 5 Best Halloween Movies That Are Kid-Friendly Too

1. Coco

I watched Coco for the first time this past summer and I loved it! This movie may not exactly talk about Halloween but they do talk about the Day of the Dead which usually starts on October 31. I remember growing up whenever we talked about Halloween we also talked about Day of the Dead. The movie is so cute and entertaining. And just like all Disney movies, there’s a life lesson to take away from it.

2. Hotel Transylvania

I’ve only seen the first Hotel Transylvania. I believe there’s sequels to it. I didn’t care for this movie until it was randomly on. Another cute animated movie. Hotel Transylvania is a lavish resort where monsters can be themselves without any human interruption. Count Dracula is inviting all his friends (like the mummy, Invisible Man, etc) to celebrate his daughter’s 118th movie. Several famous actors are the voices behind the animated characters like Adam Sandler and Selena Gomez.

3. Hocus Pocus

I don’t think Hocus Pocus needs a description. This movie is so classic and always brings back the nostalgia when I first watched this movie. Plus, it is fun to see Sarah Jessica Parker in a film outside of Sex and the City and other Rom Com movies.

4. Halloweentown

Were any of you fans of the Disney Channel Movies back in the late 90’s & early 2000s? I looked forward to them all the time and one of my favorites was Halloweentown (next to Zelda 21st Century Girl, of course). Please say you all remember! These brothers and sisters go and visit their grandma in Halloweentown. It is the only town in the world where supernatural beings can be ‘normal’.

5. Casper

Who remember’s Casper the friendly ghost?! I’m talking about the movie that came out in the mid 90’s. I also think Hilary Duff did a sequel with this movie a few years later called Casper Meets Wendy – also think it is a super cute movie too!
