Polka Dot Trend This Spring
The polka dot trend is hitting it big this Spring. I’m seeing so many cute pieces with polka dots! A lot of style magazines are claiming that the polka dot print is the biggest new trend. But part of me is asking, did the polka dot trend even go away?
It All Started A Long Time Ago
I’ve been a lover of the polka dot print ever since I could walk. Seriously! A lot of my photos from my younger years are of me wearing polka dots! My mom also loves the polka dot print. During New Years Eve, she makes it a tradition to wear polka dots because she claims it resembles good luck. Not sure if it’s true, but I guess it’s good luck because you are wearing the coolest trend ever and probably looking the most chic in the room. Haha!
I remember several years ago when I noticed that my favorite print was hitting it big and the polka dot trend was everywhere and I was loving it! I mean I was seriously wearing polka dot on polka dot on the blog (ahh bringing back an old school post haha!). And it also brought the rise of the gold polka dots. I had to get my hands on anything polka dots, especially in gold. I was obsessed then and I still am now.
I did notice there was a slow down of the polka dot trend, but there were several clothing pieces or accessories that still continued with polka dot prints. And I continued to buy them. So when the fashion gods are saying that the polka dot trend is in, part of me wonders if it even disappeared in the first place? What do you guys think?
Polka Dot Jumpsuit
Since I still love polka dots and the polka dots are trending big, I thought I’d share with you one of my favorite polka dot pieces. This polka dot jumpsuit! Oh I love it! I think the navy and white polka dots are a classic combination. This jumpsuit is extremely lightweight! So I definitely think it can be worn on a hot summer day too. I love the ruffles on the sleeves. It just adds a subtle statement. Plus, you can’t beat the price. It’s only $22! What a steal. The jumpsuit fits true to size. I got a medium because I thought it would run small. The medium still works, just the upper half has more room than I would like. So if you wear a size small, I recommend getting a small.
