Coming Up With A Fall Outfit
When I think of Fall colors, I think of olive green and rust. This outfit actually came together as an accident. I was going through my closet and trying to come up with a Fall outfit. Of course, since I was trying too hard, I couldn’t put together one single outfit and Fall outfits (in my opinion) is one of the easiest season to dress for. So I gave up. I told myself, I don’t need to come up with a Fall outfit. Just share whatever outfit I can come up with.
Rust & Olive Green
There was one pair of pants I’ve been wanting to share with you guys ever since I purchased it. I shared these culottes a couple months ago on InstaStory. I honestly think I am a sucker for anything wide-leg haha. It is what initially drew me to these pants. And of course the rust color is gorgeous! Besides looking cute, these pants are SO COMFORTABLE. The front part of the pants has a clasp to hold it together (so it has that classic dress pants look) but the back is elastic. That’s right, it has an elastic waist aka extra comfort!
This olive green sweater was a favorite of mine from last Winter (no longer available but this pullover sweater and mock neck sweater has a similar fit and color). I am surprised I never shared it here! I received it as a Christmas present and instantly fell in love with how soft it was and with the fit! It has a slouchy fit and stretch without looking oversized. Seriously, Madewell kills it with their sweater collection.
Just Be Yourself
Anyways, I put together the rust-colored culottes and olive green sweater and BAM, this outfit looked Fall. I surprised myself that I somehow created a Fall outfit using these Fall color pieces without much effort.
Ironically, when I was writing this post I had writer’s block. I stared at these photos for a good 3 days and couldn’t figure out what to write. So I just said to my self ‘off it and write whatever‘. And somehow I ended up having a story tell to you. Moral of the story – don’t try too hard and be yourself.

Stunning.
I can totally relate, whenever you spend time trying to come up with a specific look you can never find it. The best ones are the outfits you're drawn to organically. Very chic!
Love the pants!

first of all…pink and olive are my fave colors. I love how the pants look on you. I don't think they would go with my body type though. and Yes, sometimes we just need to stop trying so hard and just be ourselves….we always want to be perfect and we just stop doing things because of that!! thank you for this post.

Crazy how trying to put an outfit together gave me some life's reminder. Being ourselves is the easiest thing to do yet we forget to do it. Thanks girl!
The best looks always come together when you aren't trying!

I love olive green for cardigans and sweater too. Your trousers however, is a thing of beauty. The color is really cute, and the length is perfect to showcase those lovely heels.

I love these colors together! Especially because they're muted, so they don't clash.
