My Favorite Way to Wear A Sequin Pencil Skirt

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! It was so much fun just spending time with family. One of my favorite gifts are these EXSTAX Closet organizers. Hoping it will make my closet organization a bit easier haha. It’s so funny how much the things I want for Christmas has changed. What was your favorite Christmas gift?
I’m still in the mood for sequins because the holiday season ain’t over until New Year’s Eve. When I shared my Ann Taylor Try-Ons, you all raved about this sequin pencil skirt and I agree with you all that it is as good as it looks!
About The Sequin Pencil Skirt
I know the sizing can be tricky at Ann Taylor, so hopefully I can break it down for you all. I did size down because the skirt is high-waisted. Normally, I am a size small and I got an XS. It is knee length and I am 5’4″. Not scratchy at all. I know some sequin clothing items can be scratchy because the sequins are poking through, that is not the case for this one. It has a lining thick enough to prevent that.
A Matching Set
This skirt has a matching sequin top and it’s really cute together! Always love a good two-piece set. If you are interested in the top, I recommend getting your true size versus sizing down. I tried on a XS and it felt snug around the chest area.
Although I loved the matching sequin top, I wanted to give the outfit a more cozy feel. I think I was inspired with the fact that I will be staying in for NYE. Those days going downtown for New Year’s Eve are over haha.
How To Be Cozy In A Sequin Pencil Skirt
Sometimes when I dress up, part of me really wants to be comfortable and cozy especially when the temperatures drop (ahem, Winter). So you want to know what I do? I pair the sequin skirt with a sweater! Have any of you done that? I’m always a fan of mixing textures. I always feel like you can have the simplest pieces on, but when you mix textures it totally elevates the entire look because it adds dimension.
Anyways, are you all sick of seeing holiday outfits? I’m kind of sad because creating holiday outfits are so much fun!
