5 Incredible Activities To Enjoy In The Fall
Signs Of Fall
Can you guys believe that it will officially be Fall by the end of this week?! So crazy! The days are already starting to be shorter (insert sad emoji face). I don’t know about you, but the longer days make such a difference with my productivity. I feel like I can do a lot in one day. But more recently, when it hits 5pm, I’m ready to head for bed haha.
Even though the shorter days are a downer, there are so many things to be excited about for Fall. There are tons of activities to do! As you all may know from my Insta Story and Instagram post, last weekend we started our Fall activities by going Apple Picking. I love apple picking. Apples are not my favorite fruit but for some reason if the apple is picked from an orchard, it just tastes better haha! Of course, my favorite way to eat an apple is in an apple cider donut. YUM!
Where We Went Apple Picking
We went to an orchard we’ve never been to, County Line Orchard, and we loved it. It is just outside the city and so easy to get to. We are definitely considering going back for Pumpkin Patching. Basically, apple picking gave us the motivation to do more Fall activities haha.
5 Activities I’m Excited To Do In The Fall
1. Apple Picking
I always look forward to apple picking every year! Ever since I was little, my family and I would always go. I remember always trying to reach the top of the tree to get the best apples. Of course, my dad would put me on his shoulders so I could reach it. I think it is the nostalgia of my youth that gets me excited to go apple picking every year. It is also the sign that Fall is here! Plus, it is the perfect excuse to eat apple anything. I love apple cider donuts and apple pocket pies (my mother in law makes the best!).
2. Pumpkin Patching
I love picking out my own pumpkin. It is so much fun! It is exciting to see all the different options and picking that perfect pumpkin to take home. Sometimes I get a little too carried away and end up picking out more pumpkins than we need.
3. Sunflower Fields / Maze
It is sunflower season and going to a sunflower field is just a gorgeous site! Some places will create a maze of sunflowers. I’ll be honest, I’m just there so I can be in a sea of sunflowers and not really do the maze haha!
4. Drink Pumpkin Spice Latte or any Fall Beverage
Fall drinks are the best! I’m a coffee lover so I get excited when I get a pumpkin coffee or pumpkin spice latte. The coffee shop around the corner from my house makes pumpkin pie lattes and uses real pumpkin puree. OH my it is delicious! Give me a cup of that (or two) while cuddled up in my oversized cardigan, binge watching Fixer Upper, and I’m a happy girl!
5. Go For A Walk and Enjoy the Changing Leaves
I love the crisp air that Fall brings. It makes going for a walk so fun and comfortable. This is another opportunity for me to have another cup of PSL or pumpkin pie latte (#sorryimnotsorry I’m addicted). Not only is the crisp air enjoyable but the scenery of changing leaves is gorgeous. I’m considering going to the Chicago Botanic Fall Walk. I hear it is amazing seeing all the Fall colors!
What about you guys? Why are you excited for Fall?
