Pants During the Summer?

It is for sure heating up in Chicago. Right now, we are in the 90s, and I am sure the temperature will continue to rise. For those who have never been to Chicago, yes we get that hot during the summer too (people stare at me like I’m crazy when I talk about our summer weather). So the thought of wearing pants during the summer is unbearable. Hence, why I’ve always been a dress or skirt kind of girl during this season. However, linen pants for the summer is the best if you are craving to wear pants. In general, linen is the best fabric to wear during the summer.

That Summer Feeling

I’m more of a cropped linen pants kind of girl and I was immediately drawn to these yellow paperbag-waist pants when I was in Spain & Portugal. I saw it at one of my favorite stores, Bershka. Have you guys been? It is amazing and everything was reasonably priced! Seriously, these are only $48. You guys know I can’t resist a good wide-leg and I love that it came in a yellow color. It gives a vibrant and happy feel. To me, it screams summer vibes.

I couldn’t resist pairing it with the same white top as in Friday’s post. I just love the fluttered sleeves and it is the perfect length to be tucked in (not too long and not too short). You bet I wore this top multiple times since I’m such a fan of wearing high-waisted bottoms.

Perfect for the Beach

Even though these photos were actually taken in Lisbon (Portugal) – I just love how colorful that city is! – I can see myself wearing linen pants at the beach. I’ll have my bottom underneath the pants, while wearing a cute bikini top.

    I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect linen pants for the summer. I adore these especially because they’re my favorite color to wear right now – yellow! My struggle has been that every pair I’ve tried has been utterly see-through haha! I gotta get my hands on these or one of the other pairs you linked. So adorable!

    Oh man, linen pants are a godsend! DC gets just as hot – it’s been over 90 degrees this past week but with a great dose of 80% humidity so there’s just no way to live without air conditioning – it just feels like a dog is breathing in your face when you walk outside!
    I love these pants – the color is lovely and the paper bag waist is so flattering!
