Similar to when I talked about this jumpsuit, I wore this tiered maxi dress when I was in Sarasota in January. This was way before anyone knew that the U.S. would have a pandemic or that the coronavirus would ever enter the United States.
But when I first shared this dress on Instagram, so many of you loved it. And I totally agree! I’m obsessed with it. It’s flowy, breathable, and has pockets! Even though pink is my favorite color, I normally don’t go for a fuchsia pink or hot pink color. But this dress was an exception. It made me like the color haha.
It also comes in two other colors: black and beige. I really like the beige one. It’s more like a vintage beige color. I don’t know if that makes sense, but if that color is still available you’ll know what I mean. I’ve noticed that this tiered maxi dress fluctuates between in-stock to out of stock. So if you see it available now, I say get it now. Especially since Anthropologie has been having AMAZING promo deals since quarantine. And sometimes only one of the colors is in stock. Like yesterday, I only saw the beige and as I’m typing this, my pink one is in stock.
Sizing Information About This Dress
Since I wore this dress, I’ve been getting questions here and there about it. So hopefully I can address them. Before talking about the size and fit, I’ll share my size information. That way you can have a point of reference and hopefully it will help you figure what is the best size to get for yourself.
I’m 5’4″, weigh 140 lbs, and chest size is 32c. For my body type, it is pretty much what you call straight except for the butt haha. I don’t have a big butt, however, it is bubbly. Which sometimes makes it difficult when it comes to buying jeans haha.
For dresses, I usually wear a size small or size 4. When it comes to tops, I also wear a size small or size 4. For bottoms (such as skirts or pants), I usually wear a size small / size 27 / size 4.
So in my opinion, this dress runs large. Instead of wearing a size small, I sized down to an XS. The XS fits me perfectly. However, if you are bustier than me, I do not recommend sizing down. While the chest area fits me well (and there was still room), I noticed that it may be more fitted for someone who is bustier. So if your chest is on the larger size, just stick to your true size.
9 Tiered Maxi dresses
Now that I talked about one tiered maxi dress, here are the 9 other tiered maxi dresses I’m currently loving. With the Spring weather getting warmer, I want an excuse to wear cute dresses even if I’m just hanging out on my balcony.
This dress is just too gorgeous! I love the colors, print, and fabric. Currently contemplating getting it. If you are not into the color and/or print, they also have the same dress in a solid black color. It appears to have the same crepe-like fabric.
The hem is very similar to my dress in that it has a high low hem. Super flowy and love the sleeveless style with the v-neckline.
This dress looks very similar to the voluminous puff sleeve dress (Item No. 1). However, this one is more affordable (only $35) and comes in 3 other colors. I also love the pink colored one. So pretty!
This is another dress that is on my list to buy! The light beige and yellow combo is so pretty and has that vacay vibe to it. I also love that it is long-sleeved! This dress comes in 2 other colors.
Without a doubt this colorblocking dress is your classic English Factory dress. I feel like most English Factory dresses have colorblocking.
This is the type of dress I picture wearing during a really hot summer day. It looks super comfortable and flowy that I bet it is cooling on a hot day. I also find it unique that a tiered dress is satin.
I’m always a fan of the quality of Gal Meets Glam dresses. This type of dress can take you from a casual, relaxed day to a dressed up night.
I know, I’m sharing quite a bit of H&M dresses, but they really are killing it this season. A lot of their dresses are so fashion-forward! Plus, the affordable price just makes it even more tempting to buy! Love everything about this dress from the balloon sleeves to the orangey floral print.
I can’t believe this is the second tiered dress in satin that I found. I love this dress because you guessed it – it looks so similar to mine.
