I am OBSESSED with this sequined blouse. During the holidays, I always love a good sequined top for two reasons:
1) It is the only time of the year that it is publicly appropriate to wear.
2) It is always fun to wear some sparkles!

In my opinion, I think that’s why a lot of people love to wear them as part of their holiday outfit. So every year, I try to purchase one new sequined top.

However, this sequined blouse is SO different from other sequined blouses; which you may have already seen on Instagram. What sets this blouse apart is that it has floral prints embedded in it and puffed sleeves. Any top with a puffed sleeve is immediately chic. The look and style make it subtle enough to wear during the day and elegant enough to wear in the evening. Usually, sequins only look appropriate for evening wear.

Day to Evening Sequined Blouse

Which is great for those whose work holiday parties happen right after work. In my previous corporate job, I planned corporate social events (in addition to my day to day work in data acquisitions), which included planning and managing the corporate holiday party. That’s a party for over 2K people! It was nuts and fun. So the day that the holiday party is happening, I’m at the venue making sure all the vendors are on track, things are coming together nicely, and adding any last-minute decisions that the C-level executives requested. Basically, I have almost no time to go home and change. I usually change real quick in the venue’s bathroom before everyone arrives.

If I had this top then, it would be making a change from day to evening wear so easy and quick! I tried to google if there are other floral sequined blouses out there, and there were NONE. So if you want something that is a showstopper, versatile and unique, you will want this top! It is also a great top to wear all the way to Spring season. So you will definitely get your cost per use!

Sequined Blouse Sizing

First, I want to share that this top is not scratchy on the skin at all. I have bought sequined blouses in the past, and the sequins would poke my skin. It has another interior fabric that prevents this from happening. I’m impressed it is not heavy at all!

It fits true to size. So whatever your usual top size is, I think it would work for you. I’m wearing a size 4 and that is my usual size (I also wear a size small in tops too). My chest size is 32C. If you want this top in a solid color, they also come in Navy and Copper. Copper is really gorgeous!

Velvet Pleated Skirt

The combination of pleats and velvet is genius! This skirt checks all the boxes for every style possible. It has pleats, velvet, tiered style and midi-length. I knew when putting this holiday outfit together, I wanted to play up texture. So the addition of this velvet pleated skirt was perfect.

I recommend sizing down. It has an elastic-waist, but it is on the larger side. I’m wearing a small and it fits fine, but I do think elastic-waist should be slightly snug. Hence, why I accessorized with a double-ring belt.

Comfortable Heels

As you all know, I’ve been purchasing more comfortable AND high quality shoes. I’ve been a fan of Vionic shoes since I tried them out during our trip to Portugal. Another brand to add to your list of where to buy shoes. Chic and comfortable is the ultimate win! Love these Nareen Slingback Pumps! You can also find them in Nordstrom and Zappos. I’m just a fan of slingback shoes. So when Vionic reached out to me about these shoes, I immediately said yes! For a comfortable shoe brand, they are relatively affordable! Mine is in a Wine Suede color. They fit true to size and you can dance all night long with them!

    Looking at this blouse from a distance, I never would’ve guessed that it’s a sequined item. It’s so gorgeous – and knowing that it has some added sparkle makes it even better! I adore how you styled it. Definitely the perfect work party ensemble.
