Few Days Until Christmas
Can you believe Christmas is only a few days away?! One of the best things about Christmas is the anticipation leading up to Christmas. I love seeing how festive everything is everywhere I go. With Christmas only a few days away, I am so excited for our Christmas traditions and I thought I’d share them with you all.
Our Christmas Traditions
Baking Christmas Cookies
The first weekend of December is dedicated to Christmas cookies. My family makes about 30 different kinds and pretty much bakes nonstop and they are all soooo delicious. These cookies are our desserts for the entire month, every day. My favorites are the ribbon layer cake, Christmas lime trees, and gingerbread bears.
Christmas Eve Eve dinner
The evening before Christmas Eve (yay, tomorrow!), we like to go somewhere nice for dinner. It is our way to start the Christmas festivities and have everyone together for dinner. Sometimes we are all on different schedules and it is nice to have at least one day when we are all together for Christmas.
Christmas Pajamas
Wearing Christmas Pajamas is one of my favorite Christmas traditions. Usually, we will wear our nicer clothes during the day. But somehow throughout the day we all slowly change into our Christmas pajamas. We also gift each other new sets of pajamas. Getting pajamas is a treat because it is something I enjoy wearing but I don’t seek out to buy them often.
Christmas Eve Appetizers
Christmas Eve is all about grazing on food all day. We just eat several different kinds of appetizers and yum so good! I don’t know about you but something about appetizers or mini of something always tastes better. The appetizer selections change every year so it is exciting to find out what it is each year! I also can’t resist constantly getting more food! I think it is a great way to have a little bit of everything. I guess it is like Christmas tapas!
I’m sure I’m forgetting a few more traditions. I can’t wait for Christmas! What are your Christmas traditions?

Love the idea of appetizers on Christmas Eve! We also have matching Christmas pjs for Christmas Eve 🙂 I hope you have a Merry Merry Christmas!!
Haha that is how I feel about appetizers too! Oo yes I love going to the Nutcracker too! It’s been ages since I made gingerbread houses – maybe I’ll add that to next year’s list haha!Merry Christmas!
