Getting Out Of My Comfort Zone
From time to time I like to be ‘adventurous’ and buy an outfit that is out of my comfort zone. I mentioned before what pieces I rarely buy and this dress is another example of that. Fitted and mini style? First thing that comes to mind is ‘eeeekkkk’. But more recently I have been buying something out of my norm, and I’ve surprisingly loved it.
I’m not quite sure what got me loving this dress. Maybe because it is different? Or that I didn’t think I could pull it off? Nevertheless, I felt good in this dress and it gave me a boost of confidence. Plus, for $30, what did I have to lose? If I didn’t like it, I could always return it. I felt so good that I wore it a couple months ago for our two year wedding anniversary.
About This Mini Dress
Without a doubt, I loved the look of this mini dress even if I initially thought it wasn’t me. I really think the light blue watercolor hues speckled on the dress are beautiful. The ruffles and asymmetrical style gives it character. Not sure if you can tell, but it has two strings so that it can wrap around the dress. They were extra long and so I wrapped it around my waist twice. I think the wrap style flatters the waist. The fabric has a slight stretch for comfort (yes!). Overall, I’m a fan of this feminine dress. By the way, I am wearing a US Size 4. Sizing on Boohoo can be confusing but I think I nailed it. I typically wear Size S or Size 2 for your reference.
