Remember how I told you yesterday that I have holiday outfits to share? Here is my last blog post on that. I promise. Today, I want to share a sequined top and metallic skirt combo that I think will work even after Christmas. It would actually be a great New Year’s Eve outfit.
Plus, I still consider the time between Christmas and New Year’s Eve the holidays. Maybe this year it just means we can all extend the Christmas magic just a bit longer. After all, we are still waiting for some packages to arrive. So it’s kind of fun to look forward to that.
Wow, I’m rambling. I’m just feeling nostaglic and seeing more good than bad. I feel like social media is just full of people complaining.
Sequined Top and Metallic Skirt For Under $70
Are you dressing up for New Year’s Eve? We are staying in for sure. But like I mentioned before, it is still really fun to dress up even if the longest commute is walking to my living room. It helps create a more positive mood and energy and helps me get out of my funk.
Which gives me a reason to share with you all this sequined top and metallic skirt outfit. While I’m unsure if this is the same exact outfit I will wear at home for New Year’s Eve, I still think it is fun to share and hope it inspires you all to dress up too! As I mentioned before, I’m all for a sparkly outfit to put me in a good mood. Most of these outfits are bump-friendly even if I’m wearing non-maternity clothes.
This sequined top is the same top I wore last year. I’m so impressed that it still fits with my bump haha. But it is a more loose-fitting top and I’m glad that I bought it from H&M. I do recommend getting your true size (so whatever your usual size is with tops). It’s supposed to be boxy and flowy. I’m currently wearing a size small.
Overall the quality is great and it is not scratchy at all. Sometimes sequined tops can be so scratchy on the skin. Although, I still recommend to wear a cami underneath. It’s such a lightweight top that an extra layer is nice. I love to wear these Airism camis. They’re so breathable and so silky smooth on my skin. I’ve been loving this during my pregnancy (they’re non-maternity and I am able to wear my pre-pregnancy size).
Wearing a metallic skirt is so much fun! I rarely wear anything metallic unless it is a special occasion or during the holiday season. So I love to wear this skirt whenever it is appropriate to do so. The skirt fits true to size. But I will admit that I want to get the elastic-waistband skirt so that it is more bump-friendly. It is definitely more restricting when a skirt is not elastic-waist or not a maternity skirt haha.
I’ve also owned a gold metallic skirt and I’ve showcased that here and here. The gold color has more of a classic holiday feel to it. I wear it almost every year. During ‘normal’ times, my family and I have a tradition to have a fancy dinner at a nice restaurant the night before Christmas Eve to kick off Christmas. My go-to is usually to wear this gold skirt. Hopefully, next year we can get back to this tradition. Since it has an elastic waistband, this skirt is for sure more bump-friendly. I’m able to wear my pre-pregnancy size and I can comfortably wear it with my growing belly.
But I will admit that if I want a metallic skirt that seems more appropriate to wear all year round, I opt more for the pink metallic skirt.

Add A Blazer
Anytime I can layer with a blazer, you know I’m all for it. So in this outfit, I paired it with a green velvet blazer (styled multiple ways here). I’m a fan of pairing green and pink together as a twist to the classic Christmas colors. What are your thoughts on wearing pink and green for the holidays?
