Why I Support Breast Cancer Research

I have probably said that I support breast cancer research numerous times. It’s probably obvious why. As a breast cancer thriver, I firsthand fully understand why advanced treatment is necessary and ultimately why we need a cure. It is rare to be diagnosed with breast cancer at a young age (under 40) and unfortunately, the cancer tends to be more aggressive. How to Support Breast Cancer Research through Stage.

Let me tell you, the journey is hard. I felt like a lot of my future plans were stripped away from me. But I know I’m in the process of overcoming it. I’ve accepted this life. Moreover, I decided to choose joy and choose to enjoy every moment.

There are not that many nonprofit breast cancer organizations I support. Like I said, I want to ensure organizations are all about more research because that is truly the only way we can end this awful disease. One of the organizations I support is Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). They are one of the few nonprofit organizations that is dedicated to more research, advanced treatments, and to finding a cure.

And this is why I decided to partner with Stage. In the month of October, Stage will be donating to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Throughout the month, Stage will be hosting activations and give back initiatives to raise money for BCRF.

How to Support Breast Cancer Research through Stage

You can get involved at your local Stage or online:

  • Online: From October 1-31, show your support for BCRF by posting a photo on your Instagram feed using the hashtag #pinkican. Stage will donate $1.00 to support BCRF (up to $35,000).
  • In-Store: Various events and opportunities are happening, including sales of select “Pink” items with 50% of the purchase price of these items going to BCRF.

Favorite Items That Support Breast Cancer Research

The selection of products that are included as “Pink” items (50% of purchase price going to BCRF) is amazing! I’m obsessed with this floral neckerchief (for sure planning to get it!). I’ve used the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum, and it works so well!

My Dress from Stage

This was my first time shopping at Stage and I decided to get this pink dress and a long sleeve maxi dress. For this post, I went with the pink dress. I couldn’t resist wearing pink, especially if it has to do with breast cancer :).

The dress is SO SOFT! The fabric feels like something from Lou & Grey. So definitely impressed with that especially since it is only $39.99. Above all, it also has pockets! Dresses with pockets are ALWAYS the best. Hence, why my hands were always in the pockets haha!

Sizing

I’m wearing a small and it was big on me. I wish they offered it in an XS. Therefore, I used a belt around my waist and layered it with an oversized blazer to make this dress work. However, there is a possibility it might shrink. So we’ll see! But if you do want this dress, I recommend sizing down.
