When I received these lightweight paperbag pants, I knew I had to take them with me on our trip to Copenhagen. During our time there, we decided to take a day trip to Malmo, Sweden. It was only a 35 minute train ride. Can you believe that?! Who knew a 5 day trip could take us to 2 countries!
Because our trip was just 5 days, I only used a carry-on luggage. For me this was a challenge only because of the weather. The temperature was in the mid 60’s, but there are days it might rain and there were days that were sunny where the real feel would feel 10 degrees warmer. This meant packing layers without taking up too much space. Packing layers just naturally takes up more space.

Luckily, these pants are so lightweight. They took up little to no space and barely made a dent on the weight of my carry-on. I’ve noticed that when we travel to Europe, occasionally, they would weigh our carry-on and there is a limit. I believe it is 22 kg which translates to about 48 lbs. So the lighter the clothes, the better!
Perfect For Traveling
I decided to pair my pants with a tie-shoulder tank and layered it with a jean jacket (it’s one of my go-to jean jackets). This is the jacket I wore on the plane too. I try to make sure everything I bring is multi-purpose. Hence, this look made the perfect paperbag outfit for travel.
In the evening, the temperature did drop. So for the cooler days (or nights), the perfect paperbag pants outfit is great with a soft cotton crew sweater.
What I love about these paperbag pants is the entire time I am comfortable, which makes it easier when traveling. Especially since we explore by foot most of the time. At the same time, I’m not sacrificing style.
