This post is in partnership with Ann Taylor. Thank you for supporting brands that I support!
When I saw this leopard print dress at Ann Taylor’s Chicago flagship store on Michigan Ave, I couldn’t resist but take it home with me. I told myself, no more leopard print, but I put on this dress and it was perfect. Everything about it was perfect. I love the silhouette. It is a flared a-line silhouette. So very flattering! It’s tailor-fit, and hugs in the right places like the waist without suffocating it haha.
I also really love the mock neck neckline. It makes it appropriate for work or a night out (like holiday parties!). The fabric has more structure to it with a satin-like finish. So pretty!
Remember when I talked about creating a holiday outfit with the leopard print skirt? My mind is nonstop all about the holidays and I immediately wanted to create a holiday look with this leopard print dress.
Creating a Holiday Outfit
I also wanted to keep in mind the weather this time of year. Chicago’s Decembers are cold and wearing a dress is challenging. So I needed this dress to somewhat be comfortable to wear outside. And that’s when I saw this faux fur stole. Adding a faux fur stole adds a touch of glam to any outfit. I always think of old Hollywood glam when I see one! I went with the ‘rust maroon‘ color.
Now let’s talk about legs. Bare legs in the winter is just plain brutal. I’m freezing just thinking it. My trick to wear a skirt or dress during the winter is wearing over the knee boots (it is currently $35). They pretty much cover the entire legs without losing the aesthetic or style of the outfit. For extra warmth, I recommend wearing black tights. On extra cold days, the sweater tights will do the trick.
I will for sure be wearing this dress after the holiday season. It’s such a versatile dress!
