I wore this jumpsuit on the second day of #TBSCON. As I mentioned in Monday’s post, I will be sharing what I wore during the conference. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to shoot my third outfit, but hopefully once my foot heals I can re-shoot that outfit because I really love that dress!
My Version Of A Dressy Casual Outfit
I also wore this denim jumpsuit to a friend’s surprise party. I think this outfit has a good combination of dressy casual. I tend to struggle finding a dressy casual outfit. I mean, both adjectives together is an oxymoron! The raw ruffled, strapless top creates a dressy look while the denim fabric tones it down to give it a casual feel. So when in doubt, my version of a dressy casual outfit is finding a fashion forward piece in denim.
So I noticed when I was writing this post that this exact jumpsuit is close to selling out. Although I found other retailers that carry the same item, it’s also close to being sold out there as well. So if you want another denim jumpsuit option, I love this off the shoulder one or this cutout one.
Other Dressy Casual Options
If jumpsuits are not your thing, no worries because you can still create a dressy casual outfit with a denim dress or skirt. I own this denim pencil skirt and it is a creative way to incorporate a casual look while still wearing something work appropriate in the office. I also find this denim midi skirt to be darling!
Of course, if you want to be even more effortless, a denim dress is your go-to. I love this wrap style mini on a hot day. I also think this chambray maxi dress is really cute and I really love how unique the puffed sleeves are on this dress. But I am a sucker for midi dresses like this corset one.
How do you guys dress for a dressy casual outfit?
