Wow, I can’t believe Mother’s Day is next week! I didn’t even realize it until I walked into Target and saw a big sign that says when Mother’s Day is haha and Mother’s Day gifts.

I’ve always known Mother’s Day to be one of the most special days for mothers everywhere.  Ever since last year, I really felt the gravity of how special it was when I became a mom. My heart expanded and filled with so much love ever since I became a mom. But being a mother is hard work and the job never stops. Since Mother’s Day is coming up, I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about what to give to my mom, mom friends, etc.  I also think it is important that if you are mom that you deserve to give yourself a little something.

I’ve compiled a list of thoughtful Mother’s Day gifts that you can gift yourself and would also be a great gift for any mama you know. It’s a good mixture of experiences and items that are perfect for busy moms (which is basically all moms).

Mother’s Day Gifts For Yourself

Sleep 

Self-care gifts are one of the best and most thoughtful gifts to give. This is no surprise, but let mama sleep! Or maybe let mama wake up without any mom duties to do right before bed and/or first thing in the morning.  Since Carter, I’m a fan of using a sleeping eye mask and this sounds so extra but I really love using the Slip Silk Mask. It really does work and I hear using silk has a lot of skin benefits!

Nespresso Machine

Caffeine please! It’s the only way I have the stamina to last through the day. And Nespresso has the BEST tasting coffee. They taste like they’re just made from a coffee shop and it is super easy to use.

Personalized Mug

Call me cheesy but a personalized (tall) coffee mug with Carter’s face on it while I drink my Nespresso coffee is the best way to start the day!

Nap Dress

My love for the Hill House Home Nap Dress runs deep (I wrote a thorough blog post here). I now own 8 of the Ellie Nap Dress in different colors and patterns. They’re the first dress/outfit I wore postpartum that made me feel so good in my skin. It’s so flattering and looks great on any body. Oh and they’re SO COMFORTABLE. Every woman deserves this dress.

Mother Oxford Shirt

So I haven’t tried their shirts yet, but I’m so intrigued. I’ve watched videos and their shirts supposedly are spill proof. I saw the ketchup stain video and couldn’t believe it. So yea, I’m influenced and would love this.

Face Bar (30-minute Facial Salon)

These 30-minute facial salons have been trending lately and I’m a fan! Right by where we live two opened up – Oasis Face Bar and Clean Your Dirty Face. If you’re new to this type of salon, it’s basically an a la carte facial and they get straight to work and it will be completed in half an hour. This is great for busy moms that just want 30 minutes to themselves and are craving a good skin facial. Keep in mind it doesn’t have all the frills like massage, essential oils, etc. It’s all taking care of your face.

Madewell Perfect Vintage Jeans

I was never a jeans girl until I became a mom and now I almost always wear jeans. If I had to pick the best jean brand for moms, it would be the Madewell Perfect Vintage Jeans. They come in so many different styles and colors, but the best part is that they’re FLATTERING. It hits in all the right spots and the style is trendy yet classic. Oh and they’re very comfortable and high-waisted. You’re welcome.

Massage

Who doesn’t love a massage! Now that I have toddler, I’m even more exhausted and I feel it in my body haha. An hour-long deep tissue massage please! Plus a good hour or so is a great way to really decompress and for a mama to have some me time.

Slip-On Sneakers

Moms are always on the go and I wear my slip-on sneakers nonstop. I love them in white because they can go with any outfit from casual to dresses. I don’t have the time to or energy to strap on buckles or tie some laces. A classic white slip-on sneaker is the perfect pair for shoes.

Estelle Wine Glasses

Their wine glasses, couple glasses, basically any of their glasses are high on my list for a housewarming gift. Hint hint! The quality and colors just make drinking a beverage that much better.

ILIA Tint Hydrating Lip Balm

Actually any ILIA makeup is the best! They’re all made with clean ingredients and most importantly they work and look amazing on. I love the Tinted Lip Balm because since having a baby, my lips are always dry and I love that tinted lip balm just gives it a hint of color so I don’t look so lifeless LOL.

Haircut

Let mama get her haircut. Finding time to get a haircut is really hard. It’s been 7 months since my last haircut and I finally did it. I’d love to get my next haircut sooner than 7 months.  I feel like a whole new person getting rid of that postpartum dead hair.

Olive & June Manicure Set

I love the look of getting my nails done, but who has the time for that these days. Olive & June’s nail polishes are AMAZING! And their Polish Mani set makes it possible to give you salon-like quality manicure without going to one. For sure one of the best gift set to give. OH and the Poppy makes it much easier to apply the nail polishes.

Aquis Hair Towel / Hair Turban

This towel is magic. My hair is super thick and takes forever to dry. Aquis’ hair towel helps make your hair dry much faster. And it prevents your hair from getting frizzy.

Tula Primer Filter

I’m not a big Tula skincare user, but I LOVE their filter face primer. I get in the Sunrise shade and it is great on almost any skin tone. This primer is magic. I basically use it as a foundation. It doesn’t feel like a foundation. It moisturizes my face and gives me even and glowy skin. If you are looking for a no makeup makeup look, you’ll want this primer.

Book Of The Month

You all know I love to read and I love to get my books from Book Of The Month. A gift certificate from them is the best thing to give to an avid reader! I explained it in this blog post what they’re all about and why they’re so great.

Maelove Glow Maker

I talked about Maelove skincare here. Their products are basically all I use on my face nowadays and so much more affordable compared to their competitors. The Glow Maker serum is the ultimate holy grail for the skin. It hydrates, brightens, and gives you a glow.

Lash Lift

I’ve been getting lash lifts for a few years and they’re the best! Instead of getting eyelash extensions, it is a technique that uses your own lashes to permanently curl them. They typically last 6-8 weeks. I’m a big fan of them because I no longer have to damage my lashes with eyelash curlers and all I really need is a good mascara on. You can also get them tinted and then you never have to worry about putting on mascara. However,  I don’t recommend them if you already have dark hair.

Always Pan

I use my Our Place Always Pan all the time! It really is the perfect everyday pan for basically any type of cooking. I wouldn’t mind having another one and all its accessories.

Hanna Anderson Mommy & Me

I’ve always been a fan of Hanna Anderson’s clothing. And their most recent mommy and me collection is the cutest! I love that they have mommy & me options for mom & son. This makes me so happy because most of the mommy & me collections are with mommy and daughter. Love that I can wear this printed summer dress and Carter can wear a matching shirt with me!
