Today is all about showcasing the Amazon green polka dot skirt that I scored from Amazon Fashion. In case you missed it, I did a round up of all the pleated skirts I found on Amazon and shared my thorough review on each one.

Last week I talked about the brown polka dot skirt I unexpectedly loved and promised you all that I would share the green version. Ta-Da, here it is! Because we are not full on warm weather mode yet, I made this skirt work for cooler months. Want to know the best way to do that?

Clever Way To Style The Skirt

The best way to style this green polka dot skirt during cooler temperatures is to pair it with a chunky sweater and white booties! Still looks Spring-like without completely freezing your butt off. I went with the white booties because I think lighter, more neutral colors give a more vibrant feel to the boots. It takes away the thought that this can only be worn during Fall and Winter.

This chunky sweater is another Amazon Fashion find and I did a review of my thoughts on Amazon sweater shopping as well. Let’s just say it was not the same experience as the skirts. However, there were still some gems. FYI, this sweater is a one size sweater. It is very roomie on me and it can probably fit up to someone who wears a size large.

A Little Life Update

I feel like it has been awhile since I have been personal on the blog. In my opinion, I think it is a good thing. If you’ve been following me for awhile, you may have noticed I really don’t get too personal unless it is about cancer. And as I revealed in my haircut post, not talking about cancer too much is a good thing. At least I think it is.

I’m in a new phase in my life. Hard to explain, but I’m feeling more and more each day that I have a purpose and it is not because of my illness. Now, I’m just trying to figure out where I fit in, in my new phase in life. I was talking about this with my onco-psychologist and she reassured me that whenever anyone is experiencing a new life phase, there is always this part of us that is trying to figure it out. And that is totally ok. Because as soon as we figure out how we fit in, life throws another curve ball and starts a new phase.

I’m embracing it! But I did forget to share something! A couple weeks ago I was asked to be a guest speaker for American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Never in a million years did I think I was worthy of such an honor. But I did it, and I’m so glad I did because I almost declined. My cousin happened to record my speech and she uploaded it on YouTube. If you are interested, here is my speech!
