Living In a Chunky Knit Sweater

How was everyone’s weekend? I don’t know about you guys but it feels like Chicago went straight to Winter. On Friday, it was snowing!! It caught me off guard and I totally wasn’t ready for it. All weekend, I was living in my chunky knit sweater. This green one is my all time favorite. It is my go-to clothing piece when the temperature drops. I just love how cozy and comfy they are!

Where Did Fall Go?

I was actually wearing this same red chunky knit sweater but with jeggings instead of cropped denim pants over the weekend. I wish I could wear more of my Fall clothes. I still have several Fall outfits to share. This outfit was worn when we were in San Francisco and explored the Alamo Square neighborhood (highly recommend checking out The Mill! Their toast is delicious!) Let’s all cross our fingers (if you live in the Chicago area), that Fall weather comes back again before the holidays start!

Not going to lie though, this weather just makes me crave more and more chunky knit sweaters. I’ve been obsessing over them. I spent my Saturday evening purchasing a grey and cream colored chunky knit cardigan. I couldn’t resist. Now I find myself wanting to buy more!#obsessed

How to Make A Sweater Have the Chunky/Oversized Style

Also, if you find a knitted sweater and it doesn’t have that chunky and oversized fit, I usually size up by one or two. If you are afraid to test this theory out, I recommend purchasing a sweater on sale. That way, you don’t feel like you lose much by trying something out. At least that’s my theory so I don’t feel bad spending money, haha! That’s what I did with the red sweater I’m wearing!

Alright, I’ll stop the babbling. Since I’m on the hunt for more chunky knit sweaters, here are my top 5 Favorite sweaters. Crossing my fingers I’ll be able to get these in the near future. Most of these sweaters are under $55 except for one!
