Can You Wear Mirrored Sunglasses In The Fall?
Seriously Glad It Is Friday
We have made it to Friday!! This week was so hectic for me! I mentioned yesterday that I have been working nonstop. I really do hope that all that hard work actually pays off. Sometimes I feel like putting in the extra time and trying to meet deadlines at work is not worth it. I don’t know, maybe I’m just being a Debbie Downer. Do you guys feel that way about work?
First Day Of Fall
Today is the first day of Fall and I can’t believe it is like 100 degrees outside? Just last week it felt like Fall-weather and I started thinking about Fall outfits and new pieces to buy. Oh the irony! Just when I thought I could almost put away my summer clothes. Gotta love Chicago’s crazy weather.
My Go-To Accessory
The one accessory I can always rely on in any season, Summer or Fall, are my sunglasses. As you can tell by almost every outfit post, I always have them on. I just can’t get enough of them, especially when they’re from Zenni Optical (my favorite eyewear company).
Is It Fall Appropriate?
The sunglasses I didn’t expect to work in the Fall were mirrored sunglasses. I usually associate them with being worn in the Summer. I think it has to do with the mirrored lens having that cool blue tone. But what I’ve noticed is that if the mirrored lens have a warmer color to it, it can definitely be worn in the Fall.
My mirrored sunglasses have a red finish and the tint has a yellow-orange glow to it. These colors are for sure warm colors and it is the reason why I was initially drawn to them. In my opinion, they go well with Fall colors. Next time I wear these sunnies, I want to pair them with a rust-colored sweater. I think it will make the outfit pop! Since I want to take advantage of t-shirt weather (not many of those in the Midwest!), I decided to wear a plum-colored shirt. So comfortable and totally worth the splurge!
What are your thoughts on mirrored sunglasses?
