Maelove Skincare Review
My skin is extra EXTRA dry and tight especially when I was pregnant and during Winter. This is why in the Winter (or when your body is going through changes) it is important to use and invest in good skincare products. When the weather gets colder it draws moisture away from the skin which then turns the skin dry. Hence, why most people experience dry skin during the Winter months. In addition to dry skin, the cooler months can naturally cause flare ups in those with pre-existing skin conditions like eczema (which I have) and psoriasis. So it’s important to keep the skin moisturized in dry times like we are in now. I’m going to share with you all a review on Maelove skincare and what it has done for me and as it now has been part of my pregnancy skincare routine.
Maelove Skincare Review
Right before I got pregnant, I started using Maelove products. I had heard about them because last year there was a surge of influencers talking about how great and affordable they are. I didn’t jump on the bandwagon then because I had no need for it. But I’ve now been using their products for 8 months.

Maelove skincare was founded by MIT grads (brain and cancer researchers – perfect for me because I’m a cancer thriver – chemical engineers, medical doctors, lawyers, etc). Jackie Kim is one of the co-founders and CEO of the Maelove Skincare brand. She wanted to create a product that didn’t follow beauty trends but actually provides solutions and uses compounds that work well for skin health. At the same time, she wanted to ensure the products are at an attainable price. Therefore, Maelove focuses on making one line of stellar skincare that can work for all skin types. So they avoid using ingredients that are not tried and true ingredients and rely on science, data, and proven clinic research. They don’t believe in making a variety of products just for the sake of it.
I’m a very analytical and science-driven person. So when I heard the concept of the Maelove skincare line from the founder I was hooked. Also, all the hype piqued my interest. I really wanted to know if these are truly tried and true products. Plus, I really love that these are safe ingredients. They’re pregnancy-safe which is perfect for me. This is what ultimately led me to consider Maelove products.
Glow Maker Serum
This is the Vitamin C serum that led to Maelove’s fame and every influencer getting hyped up. Personally, I think this is what has given me that ‘glow’. I was very surprised that many of you mentioned I am glowing during my pregnancy but I think a lot has to do with this Maelove Glow Maker serum.
The Glow Maker Serum contains Vitamins C (15% L-Ascorbic Acid), E, Ferulic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid, and a proprietary botanical blend that includes Vitis Vinifera, Aloe, Aurantium Dulcis and Magnolia for superb antioxidant protection. This serum is similar to the award winning SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic Serum ($166) and Drunk Elephant C-Firma ($80) but at a fraction of the cost. The Glow Maker serum is only $28. That’s a BIG difference in price. I find it so effective and it’s so light. A little goes a long way. It has kept my face well hydrated, brightens and evens out my skin tone, and works . This is seriously the holy grail and if there is a product you have to pick from Maelove, this Glow Maker Serum is the one I highly recommend. I typically add this serum to my morning routine.
Night Renewer Cream
This night cream is as effective as a chemical peel without actually going through one and the harsh side effects. So no blotchy, peeling, or red skin after. I use the Night Renewer Cream about 2 or 3 times a week. I do not recommend using it daily. But I would wake up the next day with smoother and even skin. It’s great for acne-prone skin too!
It contains 10% medical grade Glycolic Acid to diminish fine lines, wrinkles, and pores while improving skin texture and fading dark spots. To soothe your skin, it also contains squalene, Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Aloe, and Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate.
Deep Exfoliator Face Polish
I’ve used A LOT of exfoliators. As someone with dry and acne-prone skin, they were all okay. The Deep Exfoliator Face Polish works! You only need to use it 2-3 times a week. By using this exfoliator it will help unclog pores, remove impurities, and buff away any dead skin. My face feels so baby smooth! Also, when you exfoliate your skin it allows for better absorption of other skincare products (you definitely want to make sure the Glow Maker serum gets absorbed!).
Refresher Face Wash
I use the Refresher Face Wash daily for both my morning and nighttime skincare routines. The name of this product says it all – it is so refreshing!!! I’ve never loved a face wash so much.
The Refresher uses a triple blend of AHAs (lactic, malic, and tartaric) to thoroughly clean your skin while keeping it moisturized without being harsh. So if you have sensitive skin (like I do), then this face cleanser is perfect for you. It is also infused with peppermint and spearmint oil which is why it provides that refreshing feeling and minty cool finish. That cooling feeling is the best!
NIA 10 Calming Facial Serum
The NIA 10 Calming Facial Serum is made specifically for those who have acne-prone, sensitive, and inflamed skin. Or if you have sensitivity to Vitamin C, this serum is a great alternative to the Glow Maker serum.
I add this in my nighttime routine. It contains Niacinamide (Vit B3), White Tea Extract, and Zinc. It really effectively improves the redness of my skin without drying it out. I noticed when I have a breakout that my blemish looks much calmer and smaller the next morning. One thing I have to mention is you need patience with this serum. Through time, you will see improvements with your blemishes.
Clear Skin Kit
This is a set of Maelove skincare products and it includes most of the items I mentioned. I love this set because it is perfect for those with acne-prone skin and sensitive skin. It includes the Refresher, NIA 10 Calming Serum, Deep Exfoliator, and Night Renewer. The set only costs $79. If you price out each item individually, it totals out to be $98.80. So getting the Clear Skin Kit definitely saves you money.
Eye Enhancer
The Eye Enhancer is an eye cream known to improve texture, tone, and radiance so your eyes continues to look refreshed and awake. It contains Cold-pressed Robusta Coffee Seed Extract to relieve puffiness and water retention, and a comprehensive botanic complex to soothe the skin and moisturize.
This is the only eye cream I’ve been using and love it. I will admit, at first I didn’t quite get the hype. But as I continued to use it, I started to see the benefits especially after my son was born. It was a true test on how well the eye cream works because the sleep deprivation is unlike anything else when you bring a newborn home. Of course, my eyes took a toll. But man this eye cream is a miracle worker because several people have told me that I don’t look tired and look refreshed. Which was the completely opposite of how I felt haha.
Hydrator B5 Gel
If your skin just needs a boost of hydration, this face serum will solve it. It’s a moisture booster with Hyaluronic Acid and gives the perfect amount of dewiness to your skin.
I love using this whenever my skin is feel extra dry. A little goes a long way. I love that it’s lightweight for such a powerful serum and doesn’t leave me feeling greasy. It absorbs very well into the skin.
Sun Protector SPF30
If you need a clean and effective SPF for daily use, you will want to check out the Sun Protector. It’s silk and very light and made with 100% mineral sunscreen without avobenzone, oxybenzone, parabens, dyes and fragrances. What sets this sunscreen apart from other clean sunscreen is that it also contains Vitamin C and E and can be used as a makeup primer.
Love 31 Face Oil
If you’re looking for the ultimate skin indulgence, you will want to check out Maelove’s Love 31 face oil. It contains 31 botanical extracts and vitamins to nourish, repair, hydrate, and protect your skin. This oil is so decadent that it is known to be a potent cocktail for. your skin. It took Maelove over 90 versions to create until the oil is perfected due to its complexity.
Where To Buy Maelove Skincare
SHOP THE OUTFIT: Long Robe (fits true to size, comes in multiple colors) | Gold Monogram Necklace |
Maelove Skincare products are available online only. I purchase on their website (Maelove.com). You save 10% on 2 items or save 20% on 3 items when using the code TEN. Without a doubt, I highly recommend using Maelove Skincare products. They are worth every penny. Their products are so effective, pregnancy-safe, and affordable. A product this good (especially the Glow Maker serum) is usually priced 3x more.
Have you tried Maelove?
