Favorite Place To Shop

Follain is my new favorite place to shop for skincare and beauty products. Correction, it is my new favorite place to shop for CLEAN skincare and beauty products. I’m sure it is no surprise to you all that most of the products I use are clean, non-toxic, and safer. I share why I made the switch a couple years ago.

First Exposure to Clean Beauty

Honestly, when I first started using clean beauty products, I had no idea it was clean. I wasn’t really into making the switch to safe and toxic-free ingredients. It just so happen that the product I was using worked. Liked really really worked and overall I feel good.

Aside from having acne-prone skin, I have sensitive skin. And let me tell you, I can be very oblivious. My first exposure to safe beauty was with Beautycounter. No idea that’s what they stood for (I know palm to the face). But I was curious why they worked. And that’s when I realize it was because the products are made with ingredients that are safe for you to use. My body has been through a lot and clean beauty is what my skin needed.

What Is Follain

I recently discovered Follain through Instagram. Go figure. I was amazed by their branding and aesthetic. And of course, they carry one of my favorite safe beauty brands Indie Lee and Tata Harper.

Follain is a retailer that only carries and sell clean (non-toxic, safe) beauty products. Their mission is to take a stand again toxins in personal care and making sure their consumers use the safest and most effective products. They have a rigorous approval process. Out of all the brands they test out, about 10% pass their test. Check it out here for a more detailed explanation of their approval process.

COQ-10 Toner by Indie Lee

Indie Lee COQ-10 tonerI wasn’t a believer in toners until I got this toner. This toner is amazing and if you get the 4.2 oz bottle, it will last you for a longggg time. Toner is one of those skincare products that is always forgotten yet so effective. I tried using others but nothing happened. When I was initially trying out Indie Lee products, anyone that has used this line always recommended the toner. It hydrates and provides all the nutrients and natural oils your face needs and loses when you wash your face. In addition to that, it has the antioxidant COQ-10 that works to hydrates, balances, and renews your skin.

Squalane Facial Oil by Indie Lee

Indie Lee Squalane Facial OilThis facial oil is AMAZING and it’s great for any skin type. Yes even for oily. In fact, if you have oily skin, the more reason to use facial oils. This oil helps with anti-aging, clears acne, hydrates, and brightens. The reason this facial oil is so good is because it is made with 100% squalane. Squalane derives from squalene and it is found in plants & animals (including humans) that is very important to the skin. Basically, your skin needs it.

Limitless Mascara by ILIA

ILIA Limitless Lash MascaraEver since I made the switch to safe beauty, I couldn’t find a mascara that is clean and actually works. That is until I found this mascara and I am obsessed! Even if you are not into clean beauty, I KNOW you will love this mascara too. It’s just as good (if not better) as some of the mascaras out there that are known to be the best. It makes my lashes look longer, fuller, and doesn’t flake. Btw, did you know that mascara are the top products that contains the most toxins. So the fact that this mascara is clean and a miracle to my lashes , just makes it the best thing ever!

Tata Harper Moisturizer

Tata Harper MoisturizerTata Harper is the best of the best of skincare, and the fact that they are clean just makes them even better. Every product I have tried from Tata Harper never disappoints. If you have dry/combination skin, you will easily fall in love with this moisturizer. My skin feels so soft and very hydrated yet the consistency is lightweight. To me, that is so appealing because most moisturizer that are known to target dry skin are so thick that it feels like I’m putting on paste!

 

What I Just Bought From Follain

So these are my recent purchase from Follain. I just got them in the mail, so I haven’t had a chance to try them out again. I’m sure I’ll do a review soon. I’ll probably do a quick review in my Instagram Stories. As soon as I finished these products, I’ll give a thorough review here on the blog.

Clarifying Mask by Tata Harper

Tata Harper Clarifying MaskAs I mentioned above, I loved Tata Harper and since I’m in need of a new face mask. Lately, I’ve been breaking out a lot. So I figured this was the right time to try the clarifying mask. It contains Salicyclic Acid to fight the blemish and Lactic Acid to shrink the appearance of the pore.

*UPDATE*
Just like all Tata Harper products, this mask is AMAZING! I’m already ready to buy my 3rd jar. Immediately, my skin felt so smooth after and the redness starts to diminish. While I think treating acne-prone skin is a process, after a couple weeks, it looked better. I use this mask 2-3x times a week. The first time using it, there was a slight tingling sensation. Maybe it is just me, but I love that feeling, Makes me feel like it is working.  Worth the splurge and HIGHLY recommend it!

 

Manuka Honey Cleansing Balm

Manuka Honey Cleansing BalmI’m a sucker for a good cleansing balm. I do the double cleanse process and always start with a cleansing balm. I wanted to try a new one and I know Manuka Honey has a lot of amazing benefits. This cleansing balm is different from the others because in additional to melting away makeup, it has antibacterial properties.

*UPDATE*
Another winner. This cleansing balm really removes the makeup and also helps smooth out the skin and skin tone. I love using this after traveling. It’s so moisturizing! Whenever my skin is very dry, I leave the cleansing balm on my face for 5-10 minutes and use it as a mask. It really gets the super dry spot.

 

Pure Lash ® Extender & Conditioner by Jane Iredale

Purelash Extender and ConditionerI’ve been on a hunt for a lash prime for awhile now (that has clean & safe ingredients). I didn’t think it existed until I found this one. I’m very curious to see if it really works. It is suppose to act like a glue to ensure my mascara last longer and conditions my lashes.

*UPDATE*
So I wasn’t wowed by this lash primer. I didn’t notice much difference with my lashes after I applied mascara. But I kept using it anyways because it was there. Am I the only that’s like that with products?  After a couple months,  I did notice one thing.  It has kept my lash lift last longer. I usually need to get my lash lifted after the 5th week, but I noticed I won’t need to go in till the 6th or 7th week. I’m not sure if it is because of this product or a coincidence. But I am happy that my lash lift is lasting longer!

Follain also has their own line and collection of skincare and beauty products. I personally have not tried it yet, but I definitely want to! I’ve heard great things about their products. I want to try theSugar & Shea Body Scrub, No. 2 Candle, and refillable Everything Soap.

    Thanks for sharing these clean beauty finds! I have heard a lot of good things about Indie Lee and now I really want to try it. Maybe I will get the toner since I am starting to run out of my current one! I’ve tried a couple samples from Tata Harper and they are seriously amazing! I had no idea they were a clean beauty brand

    I use that’s same Squalane oil! It’s so good and the price tag is great too. I’ve been meaning to try Follain for my next clean beauty haul since I’m eyeing a few new things. Didn’t know they had their own line!
