Crochet Cropped Top
Originally, I had writer’s block because I had no idea what I wanted to say. All I knew was that I wanted this post to be dedicated to this crochet cropped top. It doesn’t happen often, but it does happen and this post was one of them. I shared on my InstaStory that I had writer’s block. Some of you said, just write. And you know what, I did and the words came naturally. Sometimes when I give myself the pressure to write a post, that’s when I find it so hard to find the right words to express myself.
Since I wanted to showcase this crochet cropped top, I just talked about my thoughts on it. It’s that simple and I made it more complicated than it should be. Does that happen to you all?
The fit is true to size. I usually wear a size small and I am wearing a size small. It is cropped but it does go past the belly button. Those are my kind of cropped tops. Lately, I’ve been seeing cropped tops that look more like a bikini top…
At first, the top felt awkward because it felt so bulky, and I was afraid I would look too boxy. Fortunately, it doesn’t appear that way. I think the bulky feeling came from its heavyweight fabric. I always assume when a top is cropped that it is made of lightweight fabric (never assume, lesson learned). So yes, the fabric is heavier than I expected. I do not recommend wearing it on a hot summer day. It is perfect for Spring though or to a nice venue/event!
There is a nude fabric lining underneath so it is not see-through. Thank goodness! I will say that the heavier fabric gives a luxe look to the top. It can definitely be worn on special occasions such as a wedding, bridal shower, etc. Maybe if you are going to a wedding, I recommend going with the pink one. But if you are the bride, then for sure go for the white!
Although I made this top look more casual, as I mentioned it has a more luxe look to it. Looking back, I think this crochet cropped top would look amazing with a high-waisted skirt. I love this floral high-low skirt that’s under $60. If you are a bride-to-be, this pleated white skirt would be a perfect combo for a bridal shower!
I have my eye on this rainbow striped skirt. Or, you know me, I can’t resist wide leg pants. I’d love these cotton wide-legs or these pink button front ones. Ever since I wore a pair of pink wide-leg pants, I want more. The obsession is real haha!
My Shopping Advice
I guess what I’m getting at, is that you will probably see me wear this top again in the near future. If I can see myself wearing a piece multiple ways, then I know it was worth the purchase. So I guess that’s my advice to you all, if you can think of multiple outfits with that one piece, then it is worth the purchase.
Alright, happy Friday to you all. And Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! You all are amazing women!
