Work Holiday Party

I usually don’t get this fancy for the holidays. Hence, why I only share one or two cocktail holiday dresses a year. The only time I do is when I go to my work holiday party. This is a treat because these days I don’t always get dolled up and wear a cocktail dress. I love a good excuse to wear a cocktail dress haha. Plus, it is always fun to see my co-workers in a different light. Our work dress code is pretty casual, so seeing everyone dressed up is so much fun!

Unfortunately, I didn’t attend this year’s work holiday party. I briefly mentioned that I am currently not working. (By the way, thank you all so much for your kind words about yesterday’s Instagram post. I always get nervous sharing things about my journey, and it is such a relief when I hear all of your support!). Holiday Party Dress

So this is the dress I would have worn to my work holiday party. I love how it is dressy but not overdone. My favorite part about this dress is how the print and fabric is different from top to bottom. The bottom is a satin-like fabric with geometric pattern creating a midi-length skirt effect. The top is a red lace with mocked neck. What I also love about it is that it has a built-in bra. One less thing to worry about!  The only part I don’t like is that the neck is slightly tight. So I will be honest, I didn’t zip it all the way up. The cool part is that it looked like the dress is made that way. For size reference, I am wearing a size small.

    My sweet Rachel, I just read your IG post and I agree with you: Just because you are “no longer sick” doesn’t mean it’s over. I understand the fear but gosh, I admire you SO much. For speaking up and sharing your journey with all of us! You are a true fighter!

    I just read your IG post this morning. I think a lot of people with illnesses (that aren’t super visible) feel the same way. People like to assume, which is ridiculous.

    But know that your blog family has got your back!

    And…I want your “would have worn to office party” dress. It is fantastic — and I never wear red, lol.
