What I Read in November
I was ambitious and thought I would read a lot this month. But two books was not bad. I finished the final book from the Crown Jewel series and got started on a holiday book. Reading while it is cold out is the best! Now that I’m wrapping up several holiday things like projects, gatherings, and even presents, I’m hoping I can read more!
Books I Read in November
The Royal Delivery by Melanie Summers
This is the 3rd and final book of the Crown Jewel series. I read the first two of the series last month. You MUST read the first two of the series before reading this book. Otherwise, you will be completely lost. In this series, it is about Tessa and Prince Arthur’s next stage in their life and that is having a baby. Again, (Princess) Tessa goes through another stage of obstacles. I can’t help but think that the author is somewhat mirroring Meghan Markle. Some of the things Tessa goes through especially with how the media tears her apart and judges her during pregnancy sounds so similar to Meghan Markle.
I will admit, there were some parts that really annoyed me. But I think that’s what kept me engaged with the book. Like Tessa’s parents drive me crazy. Especially her mom. A little bit of Tessa too. I can’t help but want to shake them and be like how can you not get it together! Haha! This is a feel good book, and I really liked how it ended. It has a great message about being a woman and learning to give yourself grace and loving yourself.
One Day in December by Josie Silver
This book was from my holiday reading list (which several of you recommended). So the summary of this book is that one day in December right before Christmas, Laurie noticed a man at a bus stop and instantly knew that they belong together. Pretty much it was love at first sight. Unfortunately, he never went on the bus and Laurie did not have the opportunity to speak to him. So she and her best friend Sarah spent a year looking for him. She was so convinced he’s the right man for her.
After a year of looking, Laurie gave up and Sarah introduced her new boyfriend to her. It was the man from the bus stop. Laurie didn’t know what to do. She wanted to be a good friend because Sarah and Jack are in love. Let’s just say it gets complicated the more Laurie tried to suppress her feelings for Jack.
This book takes you through the journey of Laurie, Sarah, and Jack. It’s all about love, friendship, heartbreak, and life lessons. My initial thought on this book was that it would be like a Hallmark Christmas movie. But it wasn’t. At least it wasn’t for me. So it didn’t turn out how I expected, but in a good way. There were life experiences that were relatable, and I felt for every character even during their worst moments. I like that not everything was all rainbows and butterflies. I was worried that the book would not end well for the characters. Let’s just say this book kept me in suspense the entire time.
What have you read this month?

It is so good! But you have to read the first 2 books to get what is going on in this book.
Great post! Each one of them sounds interesting. I like getting new books every month.
Thanks Candace!
I’ve started a new book this month but haven’t made much progress with it, haha! I’m impressed you read two books in November – aside from finishing the last couple of chapters of a parenting book I read I haven’t read at all!
Hope that you’re having a great weekend 🙂 We went to our last Christmas party for the season yesterday, it was a lot of fun!
Haha I am impressed too! Thank you Mica!

I hope you can soon!
I JUST finished “One Day in December” this morning, listening to it on Audible, and my gosh it was SO GOOD. I cried, I laughed, I felt for ALL the characters at one point or another. It was phenomenally done and so much better than most of the “fluff” books I read. Lots more unexpected depth!
OMG it is so good!
I have heard so many great things about One Day in December. I need to pick it up ASAP!
