Why The Butterfly Necklace Is Important

Remember earlier in the year when I talked about Revive Jewelry? They’re a jewelry brand that gives back to the cancer community. Butterfly Symbolism

Aside from this necklace giving back to an amazing organization, the meaning behind the butterfly just makes it even more special! The butterfly is for any woman who wants to be remembered for their beauty and strength. A butterfly symbolizes beauty, metamorphosis, and emerging with vibrance. Whether you are the one going through breast cancer or know someone that is going through breast cancer, the butterfly necklace represents your strength and the process of a beautiful butterfly transformed into a new and stronger woman. What an amazing reminder!

For me, my cancer experience is extremely transformative. It may not be visible, but I have a sense of strength and worthiness. As if no matter what happens, I’ll tackle it. But I will admit, I have my moments I forget that. I lose who I am and wish for something better. This necklace is a reminder that in those moments I am stronger than I think I am. Reminders like this make darker days easier.

Speaking of power and strength, I also wanted my outfit to represent that. We all have heard of power suits. Ya know those suits that make you feel dominant, strong, and confident. My power suit in this post is an all pink suit. A pink power suit is very bold and different. But that’s what I love about it. Pink has always been my go-to color. It’s very obvious in my Instagram feed haha. It’s my power color. It is also ironic that the color pink represents breast cancer.

I felt so confident when I put on this pink power suit. I got bolder just like the color. My inner badass came out haha. And whatever your power color is, I think everyone should rock it. Despite it being so different and bold. In my opinion, that’s what makes everyone so amazing – we are all different!

I didn’t splurge on this pink power suit. When I am testing something new I tend to get a more affordable option until I really know what I like. I got this on Amazon for $70. It was a set. The quality is really nice, but the fit is odd.

Since you have to buy this suit as a set, you can only pick one size. I read the reviews and a lot of them said to size up. So I went with a medium. I usually wear a size small or size 4. The blazer fits perfectly and I definitely will be wearing it with other outfits. The pants did not fit perfect because the fit was so odd. It is tighter around the thighs (so for that I’m glad I sized up), but so large around the waist. I used the belt that came with this set to tighten the waist. My goal is to get it taken in later this month so I will no longer need the belt.

Feeling Bold

I love how this entire outfit including the butterfly necklace is symbolic to me. I feel bold in a pink power suit which also happens to be the color of breast cancer. Breast cancer is something I still deal with every day and the butterfly necklace is a reminder that I can get through this. I am really grateful that this necklace gives back to BCRF. Advanced research and a cure is something I am extremely passionate about. I want to one day not have to worry about breast cancer or want to live in a world where my future kids don’t have to worry about breast cancer.

    I love this outfit, and the beautiful butterfly necklace! It has an even more beautiful meaning behind it. I never knew the symbolism behind the butterfly. It is so personal to all of us. My best friend’s mom, who was truly like my own, passed away from breast cancer a couple of years ago. As you mentioned, whether we have experienced it ourselves or known someone who has, it has touched everyone in some way.

    There’s something extra special about butterflies. They’re my favorite creature for a reason. I may not have gone through what you did, but they’re super important to me and my life journey as well. I love the concept of wearing something so precious that’s also really benefitting an incredible cause. Also LOVE you in that pink power suit. Good to know about the fit 😉

    Yessss Rach!! I love the bold outfit here. That is SUCH a power suit. And the butterfly necklace is beautiful, I think I will buy a few in honor of a friend who died way too young of cancer a couple of years ago. Maybe one for her daughter, one for my sis (her best friend) and one for me.
