Have you noticed that I’ve been talking about packable puffer coats? No? Well then this post will definitely make it obvious that I love packable puffer coats. Actually, they’re my new obsession! When I shared my recent real weekend outfit, my new Winter coat was a packable puffer coat, and then in my Amazon sweater review, I couldn’t resist but purchase a packable coat (even if the theme was sweater).

The obsession started about a year ago when I thought the idea was cool. It was obvious that I had to get a packable coat when we arrived home from Puerto Rico. On our way there, I didn’t bring a coat. I just brought my denim jacket. Heck, I’m going somewhere warm and a winter coat takes up SO MUCH space. I’m not letting Chicago’s winter essentially kill my tropical getaway vibe haha.

But when we arrived back home, reality hit me. While we were in line to grab a cab, my poor denim jacket wasn’t enough to protect me from the cold. And of course, I was spoiled from the perfect Puerto Rican weather. And I regretted not bringing my winter coat with me.

This is when the packable puffer coat became a must-have. Let’s just say buying one (actually buying a couple) was the best decision ever.

Reasons Why I Love The Packable Puffer Coat

They’re just as warm as any puffer coat! And you all know these kind of coats are Winter must-haves!

Sooo lightweight! Winter coats are heavy. If you live in a walkable city like Chicago, the weight of the coat is just too much. These are so lightweight that there are times I would think I’m not wearing a coat! Yet, I’m not cold….For sure, something I had to get used to.

3 Reasons Why I Love the Packable Puffer Coat.

They’re packable! This means that they can roll up into a small ball. This is an amazing feature because I can easily fit them in my bag, suitcase, etc. If you are traveling from somewhere cold to warm, you will never have to freeze coming home. The Amazon puffer (the green one in these photos) comes with a small pouch you can place your coat in. It’s remarkable how much it can condense its size!

I also think these are perfect if the weather/temperature fluctuates where you live. This happens often in Chicago during Spring or Fall. It can be cold in the morning and then warm later in the day. Or vice versa where it is warm in the morning and then cold later in the day. You will never have to worry during those extreme weather changes!
