The Organizations I Support

If you recall, in this post I talked about why I don’t support awareness and mentioned which organizations I support. American Cancer Society happens to be one of the organizations I support. So when I heard about the JCPenney and ACS partnership, I was so so pleased! If you didn’t know this, ACS’ main focus and mission is to educate others about cancer and eliminate cancer.

I haven’t shared this to many people until recently on Kelsey’s podcast ‘But You Don’t Look Sick‘, but right after my biopsy before they could confirm if I had malignant tumors they gave me a book from the American Cancer Society. I knew if a medical team is using American Cancer Society as a reference to cancer patients then they are a reputable organization.

How You Can Help

So this is where you can help JCPenney support breast cancer research through American Cancer Society.

City Streets created BCAM graphic tees specially for JCPenney during the month of October. There are 3 different types of shirts: pink ribbon, powerful, and fearless. Each tee is only $10. For every graphic tee sold, $2 will be contributed to the American Cancer Society up to $100,000.

My Tee

I decided to select the powerful tee because that’s how I currently feel about my experience with breast cancer. Even though there are days I struggle or feel weak, at the end of the day I was able to thrive. I am overcoming something difficult and that makes me feel powerful. I really believe anyone who goes through cancer is powerful. We are so much stronger.
