Inspiration For A Blush Holiday Outfit
I thought it would be fun to create a blush holiday outfit. I was inspired to create this outfit because of these rose gold loafers. Aren’t they the cutest?! They are by Rollie Nation. And if you are not familiar with this shoe brand, they are a shoe company that is all about fun, colors, and fashion-forward while still being functional. Sometimes when things are fashion-forward, colorful, unique, etc they are not the most comfortable things to wear.
Rollie Nation’s shoes are made with premium materials. They are lightweight so they don’t add extra weight to your feet and have memory foam for cushion. You can seriously jump, bike, run, or shop all day in them! Hence, why you see me doing a lot of jumping and skipping in these photos. Crazy to think considering these loafers are made with genuine leather. Fun and fashionable shoes don’t have to be painful on your feet! My loafers can be found in Anthropologie. Oh Anthro, you always carry the best stuff!
Shoe Sizing
I just want to go over the shoe sizing because it can be confusing. Their shoes are in European sizes. And European shoe sizes do not have half sizes. I wear a US 7.5. Unfortunately, there is not an equivalent European size, so I sized up to a US 8 which is EU size 39.
Rest Of The Blush Holiday Outfit
I didn’t realize I would be talking about my shoes so much haha. For the rest of the outfit, I wanted to add holiday-like elements. I knew immediately I had to add sparkle. My gold sequined pants from last year immediately came to mind. My all time favorite sequined pants! Unfortunately, they are not available this year (ahh Alice & Wonder bring them back!), so I did my best to find a similar pair – which is this one from the Gibson x Glam Squad collection.
I wanted to add a cozy element, so I went with an oversized scarf. In the Winter, I don’t think there is such a thing as having too many scarves, am I right?! Plus the color blocking in this scarf just adds a cheery vibe to it.
I know these colors are not a traditional holiday color, but hopefully you can see how you can make any color festive! Hope you enjoyed my blush holiday outfit.
A Very Festive Millenium Park
If you are from Chicago, you already know that one of the most festive places in Chicago is Millennium Park. The giant tree is all lit up (it’s real too!), and the ice skating rink is out. Something about the atmosphere, especially around the ice skating rink, feels so Christmasy. I love it! And no need to bring skates (unless you want to). You can also rent them at the park. Which is good for someone like me that rarely ice skates, but would like to around this time of year.
Also, The Bean (or also know as Cloud Gate), has caroling. I honestly did not know that until this year! But it sounds fun! You can carol to holiday classics. Here is the schedule if you are interested.
Cheers!
