So Rare To Find A Dress For Every Occasion

Do you own something that pretty much can be worn in any occasion? I honestly didn’t think it existed until I accidentally realized it does. Last weekend as I was getting ready for my cousin’s bridal shower, I was deciding what to wear. I made the decision to wear this vintage floral dress. And that’s when it struck me that I’ve worn this dress on so many different occasions. I finally found a summer dress for every occasion.

How Is This Summer Dress For Every Occasion

I don’t know how, but it just works. As I mentioned above, I wore it to a bridal shower. But I also wore it on several other occasions too!

I wore this dress to a baby shower, family party, date night with Tre, out with the girls, during a picnic and sometimes just on the weekend to wear during the day. Isn’t it crazy how this dress seriously worked for all these occasions? And that is a wide range! I know it sounds silly to be amazed that this dress works for almost every occasion (or lack of occasion) this summer, but to me that’s so cool. Another reason why I love Madewell’s stuff.

Quick Size Info

I went into more detail about the fit of this dress in my summer Madewell review post. But overall the dress fits true to size with a little wiggle room. That wiggle room is a good thing to me. Because after eating, I will not feel so constricted. The wiggle room will also work if you are in-between sizes. I’m wearing a size 4.

I recently learned that Madewell launched their collaboration with Christy Dawn, Madewell x Christy Dawn. Such a BIG fan of Christy Dawn dresses! After looking at the collection, I think these dresses definitely could be worn on every occasion as well.

Return Of The Rattan Belt

Whenever I have an outfit that I think needs a belt, I have only been grabbing this one! Seriously my favorite belt this season. I’ve worn it so much that I can tell it is getting worn out. Eeeek! So I think it is time for me to get another one. So when my current belt just breaks, I have a back up. I’ve styled it a couple ways on the blog – with a lemon print outfit and a white dress.

Free Workout

For all my Chicagoans, I have something fun for you! I am hosting a meet up next Monday (July 17) for a FREE OrangeTheory HIIT class at Gallagher Way. The workout class is about an hour. You can RSVP here. Bring a friend too! Gallagher Way is the area around and adjacent to Wrigley Field. Have you been? It’s so cool. That area has changed so much!

After the workout, we’ll have free light breakfast bites and beverages (coffee, juice, etc) at Hotel Zachary (it is right across the street from Gallagher Way) in the Alma room. It’ll be so much fun.
